Prussian Blue[edit]

Hi.

Unfortunately, as an encyclopaedia, Wikipedia relies on material being sourced to reliable sources, and avoids primary sources. The cite you are supply on Prussian Blue fails both of these guidelines, and as a forum post is specifically precluded from being used as a source. If you can find a reliable, secondary source, then please re-add this. I the mean time I have removed it. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 21:39, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The rules make sense because you cannot use a post by someone who claims to be their mother, because that person is not a reliable source. Why? Because it could be anyone on the internet and not their mother at all. And even if it was certain that it was their mother, being their mother she may have reason to not be 100% factually accurate and true. That is why we look for a secondary source, a source that has determined that the someone who claims to be their mother, is their mother and is sure what is said is accurate and true.

And you cannot be the one to do this. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, it doesn't do original research. Hope this helps. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 20:54, 1 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

April 2017[edit]

Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Chinese aircraft carrier programme, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 09:45, 29 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
