Elim[edit]

This is a WP:Disambiguation page and should not be turned into an article. What is needed is a new article with a name similar to Elim, Western Cape.

Here is your original text. I note that there is no source for it, where does this information come from?

Elim is the small town and the oldest town in the former Gazankulu homeland founded by the Swiss Missionaries and the Shangaan Vatsonga in 1878. Chief Nhjakanhjaka played a critical role in the establishemnt of the small town of Elim, he is the one who leased the land to the missionaries in 1890 so that they may established Elim Hospital. Initially, Chief Nhjakanhjaka gave 100 year lease to the Swiss for the land where Elim Hospital stood, meaning that the new lease agreement was supposed to take place in 1990. The history of Elim is bound together with the history of Elim Hospital. It was in 1878 that the two Swiss Theologians and Missionaries, Henri Paul Bertroud and Ernst Creux]] moved the Mission station from Valdezia (10KM east of Elim) to the new station at Elim. Elim is the intellectual centre of the Shangaan Vatsonga people. In 1906, Lemana High School was established at Elim, in 1899, Elim Hospital opened its doors to the sick and the ailing, in 1878 the Presbyterian church was established at Elim. The former President of FRELIMO Dr Eduardo Mondlane studied at Lemana High School, the first person to write a Xitsonga novel calledd Sasavona, Dr DC Marivate studied at Lemana High School, the former chief minister of Gazankulu, Professor HWE Ntsanwisi studied at Lemana as well. The Lemana Teacher Training College was moved to Tzaneen, (where there was also a large concetration of Shangaan) during the 1970's and was known there as Tivumbeni College of Education.

In 1968, the Government of the Republic of South Africa bought Elim Hospital and the adjacent lands and handed them to the Gazankulu territory in line with its Apartheid policy, but the Gazankulu Government was not allowed to take decision about Elim Hospital, all decisions were taken in Pretoria by the central Government, a living testimony that Apartheid homelands were just puppets States. When Apartheid ended in 1994, Gazankulu also ceased to exist and this western portion of Gazankulu was shifted to Limpopo Province, it is now under Makhado Local Municipality in the Vhembe District Municipality. Today, Elim boast two modern shopping centres, Hubyeni Shopping Centre and Elim Mall. A modern township called Waterval is on the eastern hillside of Elim, Hlanganani Magistrates Court, Waterval Police Station, South African Post Office is just a stone throw from the CBD of Elim.

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Malamulele. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Jim1138 (talk) 09:03, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

This is your last warning. The next time you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced or poorly sourced defamatory or otherwise controversial content into an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Waterval, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. You must stop adding all of this unsourced material. You are adding massive amounts and I don't see any sources. If you are copying material from elsewhere this is a copyright violation. At Waterval the material you were adding attacked the Mayor, making this a WP:BLP violation. Dougweller (talk) 09:36, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
