Welcome[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, 176.247.162.178, made test edits on the page Wikipedia:Reference desk/Language which have been reverted or removed. If you did this, please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I recommend that you get a username. You do not have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, visit the Teahouse, our help forum for new users, or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! HiLo48 (talk) 06:38, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, User:HiLo48 and sorry for the ping. By what I can get from Special:Contributions/176.247.162.178, there was only one contribution from this IP to Wikipedia:Reference desk/Language, it doesn't look to me as a test edit and doesn't look like it was reverted, it's the only one I remember to have made there, I can't really tell if another one was removed and I don't have a perfect memory. Are you talking about another edit? Also I failed to close a small tag at Wikipedia:Reference desk/Humanities, which was fixed before I noticed with Special:diff/1060708980. As an unregistered user I can't use the thanks function and would appreciate if you could use it for me (unless you think this editor would find it disturding, it's up to you). Thanks 176.247.162.178 (talk) 07:07, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
What you can get is the fact that I stuffed up and clicked on the wrong template. Your contribution was fine. Sorry about that. Don't worry about sending a Thanks. It is a good thing to do, but nobody will be offended if you don't. HiLo48 (talk) 07:26, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
