Welcome[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, 1962monroe, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Silk Hope (TV movie) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. September 2011[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In the future, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thank you. Shearonink (talk) 00:46, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please join the discussion about the order of the cast listing at Talk:The Wayward Bus (film). Thank you, Shearonink (talk) 19:29, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The content you introduced at Silk Hope (TV movie) when you created the article appears to be a copyright infringement of content from Amazon.Com: SIlk Hope plot synopsis. As such, the article is a candidate for speedy deletion under the G12 parameter. I think the system might automatically place another Notice on this talkpage, but wanted to write you a note about it. Consult this page and writing acceptable content for ideas on how to write Wikipedia articles when using sources. Shearonink (talk) 20:27, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to All About Eve. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Please be sure to include sources for your edits. Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to All About Eve, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Please do not remove requests for citations. Yankee Pasha[edit]

Hi! I saw your edits to Yankee Pasha and wanted to thank you for contributing new articles to Wikipedia! I attempted to fix the broken infobox you placed on the page, but you seem to be undoing my fix. I just wanted to let you know that the Infobox template should have {{ and not {| as the latter is used for tables, not templates. --Odie5533 (talk) 14:24, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

References for created articles[edit]

Congratulations on creating The Girl Next Door (1953 film) article. I've noticed, however, that you didn't reference any of the assertions in the article. For instance

"When released The Girl Next Door, drew both good and bad press reviews; however, it would do moderately well at the box-office."...

You need to add who said so from a reliable source, like The Hollywood Reporter or Variety or The New York Times. Same with

"Only over time has the film earned the popularity that is was first intended to."

If you don't reference that statement then it is just unsupported opinion and Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a blog. Please take a look at and study Referencing for beginners for instructions on how to add references to articles. If you need an article to use as an example Sweet Smell of Success is a Wikipedia Good Article about a film. And ask for advice/post on my talkpage if you need some help. Thanks, Shearonink (talk) 14:30, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Same referencing issues also apply to some other articles you created: The Wild, Wild World of Jayne Mansfield, Yankee Pasha and Marilyn (film). Thanks, Shearonink (talk) 14:37, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

After I posted the "References Needed" section above, you then subsequently created the following unreferenced articles:

You've Got to Be Smart, The Sheriff Was a Lady and The Beautiful Legs of Sabrina

The Girl Next Door (1953 film)[edit]

Just wanted to let you know that I saw that you created the new article The Girl Next Door (1953 film)--The content seems pretty substantial. However, I noticed there are some holes that may need filling: the article does not contain in-line citations, and so doesn't follow Wikipedia style guidelines. Amy Z 20:43, 9 September 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amyxz (talkcontribs)

The article Trax Colton has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. All the articles you created have no references, including the following:[edit]

The Harlem Globetrotters (film)
Einer Frisst den anderen
Beverly Michaels
Silk Hope (TV movie)
The Wild, Wild World of Jayne Mansfield
Marilyn (film)
The Girl Next Door (1953 film)
Yankee Pasha

In total you have created 20 articles with no references. Verifiability is a Wikipedia policy, adding unsourced content to the encyclopedia goes against that policy. Please do not create any further Wikipedia content unless you are willing to back up all your claims. Study up on Referencing for beginners for the appropriate guidelines. Need some help?...

Referencing may look daunting, but it's easy enough to do. Here's a guide to getting started. References are important to validate your writing and inform the reader. Any editor can remove unreferenced material, and unsubstantiated articles may end up getting deleted, so when you add something to an article, it's advisable to also include a reference to say from where it came. If you need any assistance, let me know. The total of your unreferenced articles is now up to 23, please start referencing your contributions. If you don't know how, take a look at the "guide to getting started" or ask for editing help in The Wikipedia Help Channel. Shearonink (talk) 14:54, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I added references and otherwise edited Three Little Girls in Blue, it didn't really take me that long. With all your edits to movie articles, I'm sure you must have references, why not include them along with your text? Shearonink (talk) 16:31, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

So today you've added at least 5 more unreferenced articles:

Please please please please please PLEASE reference your edits! Please reference your articles! Please use edit summaries! Please use the Preview button as you are editing! None of the 28 articles you created had any sources in their initial forms! You are making more work for your fellow editors, because in order to bring these articles up to Wikipedia standards, other editors have to extensively clean them up after you. Adding unsourced content to Wikipedia[edit]

1962monroe, I suggest you read this Notice before proceeding:

  • Please source the articles you create. You created another unsourced article, Sing, Boy, Sing, today.
  • Please source the assertions you add to existing articles. You have added an almost identical claim about a supposed re-make of The Seven Year Itch (that was never actually made) to the following articles: Sheree North, Barbara Lang and Greta Thyssen.
  • Please stop adding unsourced content to Wikipedia in any form, doing so contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability.

If you continue this pattern of behavior, you might be blocked from editing Wikipedia. If you do not understand referencing, please refer to Referencing for beginners before you do any further editing. Shearonink (talk) 00:26, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Another unreferenced article?...[edit]

Hey, 1962monroe, I see you've created another unreferenced article, Kit Smythe. Until proof is offered otherwise, Ms. Smythe has to be considered as still-living and this article will have to be treated as a biography of a living person. Wikipedia has to be very careful with articles that are about living people. Please stop adding unsourced content to Wikipedia. Your actions are not helping Wikipedia, they are hurting it. Speedy deletion of "Nancy McCarthy"[edit]

A page you created, Nancy McCarthy, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it has no content, other than external links, categories, "see also" sections, rephrasing of the title, and/or chat-like comments.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Removing Speedy at Nancy McCarthy[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, thank you for taking the time to create a page here. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you created yourself. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the deletion tag you removed from Nancy McCarthy. Please do not continue to remove the deletion tag, instead, if you disagree with the deletion, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page by clicking this link. Once there, select the button that says Click here to contest this speedy deletion.
  2. This will take you to the talk page, where you can make your case by explaining why the page does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. For further help about the deletion, you could contact the user who first placed the tag or a highly active user who is willingly to help with deletion. This message was left by a bot, so please do not contact the bot about the deletion. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 22:23, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Nancy McCarthy. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 22:28, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Problematic edits[edit]

Your continued pattern of editing is problematic. When testing various edits, such as changing images or captions back and forth, either first use the preview button or test them in a Wikipedia sandbox such as sandbox or User:1962monroe/sandbox before you hit SAVE.
These problematic edits include numerous edits to the following articles on October 11, 2011:
June Haver
from this edit to this edit to this edit,
Marilyn Monroe
from this edit to this edit and
Audrey Hepburn - a series of 12 edits dated October 10, 2011 including this edit to this edit.
Also, as of October 10, 2011 you have now created at least 34 unsourced articles.
If you do not understand Wikipedia guidelines and accepted practices, please consult Wikipedia:Introduction and Wikipedia:Tutorial before creating any more unsourced articles and before changing captions & images back and forth on established articles. Removal of maintenance templates[edit]

This is your last warning. The next time you remove the maintenance templates from Wikipedia articles without resolving the problem that the template refers to, as you repeatedly have done at Mary Ann Summers, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. You are receiving this Level 4 Warning because you have also removed maintenance templates from the following articles without fixing the associated issues: There's No Business Like Show Business and We're Not Married. Shearonink (talk) 15:10, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for abuse of editing privileges. As explained to you many, many times above, you 1) Cannot remove maintenance tags unless you first fix the reason that the tag is there, and 2) can't just add unsourced information to Wikipedia because you think it's true. Additionally, you have never once used a talk page. If you would slow down and discuss some of these issues with other editors, you might be able to achieve something. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Qwyrxian (talk) 16:03, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Hot Cars has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable film that fails almost every WP:MOVIE parameter.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Shearonink (talk) 16:32, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ginger or Mary Ann?[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Honeybees requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

The article Wicked Woman (film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:MOVIES, especially WP:MOVIES#Other evidence of notability & won no notable awards during initial release. Seems to presently be unavailable via legal distribution channels & appears to not be influential to subsequent filmmakers.
