Frisia[edit]

You're welcome to argue your case at Talk:Frisia. Please do not add again. Thanks. Kleuske (talk) 13:14, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I’m sorry, but I won’t even start a discussion anymore. Because of that, I shan’t add anymore. I’m getting rather tired of all you Wikipedians who reckon they are right in an absolute way./
Het spijt me, maar ik ga de discussie nog geeneens meer aan, en zal derhalve ook niets meer toevoegen. Ik raak een beetje moe van alle soorten Wikipedianen die denken het absolute gelijk aan hun zijde te hebben. 217.123.76.65 (talk) 14:11, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

July 2018[edit]

Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that in this edit to List of countries and dependencies by population density, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Jim1138 (talk) 09:21, 17 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Request reason:

I only rectified vandalism, you can check it yourself by viewing what was on that page previously. Please allow me to edit again.217.123.76.65 (talk) 12:17, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

I accept you were reverting vandalism. In future, I suggest you limit the rate of edits to prevent triggering the filter, or you may find it easier to look at the history of a page, then edit the last good version to revert all changes in one go rather than a succession of reverts. Feel free to contact me if you want some help with this. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 14:02, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@NJA: - I don't see this user's recent edits as being disruptive, even if they did trigger the edit filter. Care to comment? — O Still Small Voice of Clam 13:52, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Voice of Clam On further review, possibly I made an error when quickly checking the edits and edit filter alert as it was reported at AIV. Feel free to revise or lift block if satisfied. Thank you. N.J.A. | talk 13:56, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Voice of Clam: - There was a time that one needed to undo each and every change made before returning to the original article/page. How can I avoid such a thing in the future? 217.123.76.65 (talk) 14:35, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@NJA: - I don’t want you to take this the wrong way, but the above discussion is between you and Voice of Clam. I was not in this discussion at all, and no apologies are made. I only wanted an article restored again, because it was obviously vandalised. You may argue about HOW I did it, but my intentions were honest and sincere. I had to wait more than two hours before anything happened. Would you please consider an apology to me, instead of speaking in forms like “possibly I made an error”? I would very much appreciate that. But with or without: I understand that you admins need to act in certain cases, and I do appreciate that. But if one admin has got it wrong, an apology couldn’t harm, could it? 217.123.76.65 (talk) 14:47, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I was addressing another person who pinged me to your page as they sought my comment. Having checked through I admit a mistake was made. I apologize for the block and your wait to be unblocked. All the best in editing. N.J.A. | talk 14:53, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much, it means a lot to me! 🙂 I also want to wish you all the best in keeping wiki safe from all the nastiness that goes on time and again. Thank you for checking! 👍 217.123.76.65 (talk) 15:30, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting to an earlier version[edit]

Hi - if you want to revert a page to an earlier version, e.g. before a spate of vandalism, select the "View history" tab at the top of the page, then click the time and date you want to revert to. This will show you the version as it was at the time. Check that it's what you want, and if you're happy, click the "Edit" tab. This will give you the warning "You are editing an old revision of this page. If you publish it, any changes made since then will be removed. You may wish to edit the current revision instead." Ignore this, put in a suitable edit summary explaining the reason for reverting (e.g. "reverting vandalism") and press "Publish changes". If you like, try reverting some recent changes in the WP:Sandbox. Hope this helps! — O Still Small Voice of Clam 16:46, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A million thanks @Voice of Clam:; this helps a lot! 😀 But there was a time this could not be done, am I right? I remember a time when one couldn't do these changes, because other changes were made in a later stage. So if one wanted to change things, one needed to go through these changes one by one. 217.123.76.65 (talk) 17:57, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It's been possible since I started editing in 2006 - I don't know what the software allowed before that. — O Still Small Voice of Clam 08:15, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
