Create account?[edit]

Consider creating an account rather than continuing as an IP. Having an account makes it easier to communicate with other editors. Also, while this should not be true, there is a bias against IP accounts, in part because of a suspicion that they are undeclared paid editors or have a conflict of interest with the topics being written about. Answering questions at the Teahouse[edit]

Hi IP user, thank you for your willingness to contribute a the Teahouse. Unfortunately you have made a couple of replies that were actually misleading, since you were not aware of all the relevant guidelines. Please do not tell new editors that they always have to use British English in articles, because that's not true (here is more information), and it is in fact pretty common for students to be assigned a Wikipedia article as part of their class work (common enough for there to be an information section for such initiatives.) It is a bit rude to tell people that their requests don't seem to be genuine; "Assume good faith" is an important policy. Thank you, --bonadea contributions talk 16:23, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Confirming that thousand of articles have been school (high school and college) assignments, and that Wikipedia has a formal process for teachers to sign up their classes first. The class is then assigned a Wikipedia-experienced supervisor. David notMD (talk) 16:34, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
