I saw the article that you are creating. Just make sure it adheres to the policy of verifiability and is not original research. I dont want your first experience to be one where your article gets deleted after all the hard work you put in -- Lost(talk) 15:27, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Response to Lost[edit]

Hello Lost, i've got a problem it seems. The purpose of my article Training as a squad in a virtual environment is about a subject where there is no prior publication. I've seen other wiki's relating to the game I am writing about and they are very factual. I am trying to keep it as general as possible because all these games are similar. It is supposed to be a stream of facts about this environemnt that 10,000 people participate in weekly and not a "how to", but I'm confused. The article got tagged for deletion and I'm not sure how to bend what I want recorded to fit the wiki rules. I've removed the deletion tag for now and am trying to figure out how to make it a good wiki. It is supposed to be pure information and no opinion, but maybe i need to edit it a little harder.

Any advice? Maybe there is another place where my topic is more suitable?

The key thing is sources. Unless you have reliable sources to prove that the article is verifiable, it may get tagged for deletion again. Please go through the above two links that I gave you. They are core policies of wikipedia and an article not conforming to them will likely be deleted sooner or later. I would suggest to take some time reading other articles here and get a hang of Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines and then continue contributing -- Lost(talk) 17:25, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AfD comment[edit]

I left a response to your comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Training as a squad in a virtual environment. Feel free to leave a question here or at my talk page if you're still confused. These policies can be complicated. Cheers!--Kchase T 21:45, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
