Conflict of interest[edit]

If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.t'shael mindmeld 07:17, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on 24x7 Learning requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. t'shael mindmeld 07:18, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia, because it appears to be mainly intended or used for promotional purposes of a company or group. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.

In addition, accounts are for individuals only, not for companies or groups or other collective editing, and your username should reflect this.

Wikipedia is not a promotion website; this kind of activity is considered spam on Wikipedia, and forbidden by policies, and usernames that appear to be promotional also violate our username policy. Editing on Wikipedia is not intended to be used to promote anyone, or anything, and its use for that purpose will result in blocking of the account involved.

If you feel that there has been a mistake, please appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} on your user talk page or contacting the administrator who has blocked you. Your reason should include a clear response to this issue and a new username you wish to adopt that does not violate our username policy. Please check that your new username has not already been taken here. Cirt (talk) 08:01, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am adding an article for the first time in Wikipedia. I did not know the guideline for UserName. Please unblock and I will change user name to "Ravi B". I am willing to change all content that doesn't meet the guidelines. Like information on all other companies, I just want brief information on 24x7 Learning. Nothing more. I am learning to create first article. Please help me

Decline reason:

Your article was deleted as blatant spam. This is actually the 4th time the article has been deleted in the last 3 years; the page is now protected and may not be recreated. If you would agree to follow WP:BESTCOI you could be unblocked and allowed to change your name: in practice, this would mean that you would have to completely avoid edits relating to 24x7 Learning, as an article on that company has already been pushed excessively by the company (if not by you personally). Do you have other article editing interests, or are you only interested in writing about 24x7 learning? Mangojuicetalk 16:43, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Before we can unblock you and let you change your name, we need to be sure that you understand the policies about conflict of interest and promotional articles. Can you confirm that you've read these articles and that you are knowledgeable about the policies? Icestorm815Talk 15:26, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
