Information icon Hello, I'm Railfan23. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Cloud Atlas (film) seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Railfan23 (talk) 00:48, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for asking for clarification on my talk page. There are several problems. Yes, "innovative" is your point of view. "German and American" is similarly problematic - modern films are almost all multinational efforts, and trying to boil it down to one or two nationalities should only be done if you have at least on reliable source to support categorising the film that way. Capitalizing "The: in "the Wachowskis" is problematic - note that Wikiepdia's own article The Wachowskis doesn't do that. "Plot" is the common term for "what happens in a movie" both in general English use and specifically for Wikipedia articles about movies. Elsewhere your edits made the text more verbose without adding information that the reader could not already understand. Railfan23 (talk) 01:07, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you @Railfan23:. There is a typo on the Wachowski page - the 1st bold use, if that might be corrected, which is where that particular error came from. 2601:647:CB02:5034:B587:41FD:6DEB:7B51 (talk) 01:13, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Cloud Atlas (novel). Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Railfan23 (talk) 00:50, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, thanks for your contributions. Just a note on "The Wachowskis" vs. "the Wachowskis". I don't feel strongly about it, but note how, for example, the back cover of the latest release of The Matrix says "written and directed by The Wachowskis": https://www.amazon.com/Matrix-UHD-BD-Blu-ray/dp/B07BF1Z37P/. As for the capitalization not being consistent, I think the idea is that the infobox/lead has more of an "official credit" and subsequent mentions are referring more to the Wachowskis as people. :) Hope you stick around and please consider making an account.
