I'm declining this for now because there are no references, which would be needed. (The difference with List of foods named after places is that those are mostly self-evident).

This would also need more specific inclusion criteria. Which kinds of legal protection count? What happens when, for example, a product is protected by national laws but not recognized by, say, the EU? I suspect this could get difficult quickly. Even just within the EU there are several kinds of protection, and bonus rules for alcohol, and it only gets more complicated the harder you look: Quality Wines Produced in Specified Regions#List of national QWpsr designations.

You're of course very welcome to keep working on the list, but I'd suggest doing one of two things instead. Either:

see if you can find sources that talk about the topic of of this kind of protection (for alcoholic drinks specifically) and write the article about the issues involved, including some examples, rather than structuring it as a list.
make a new category. It would be a subcategory of Category:Products with protected designation of origin, grouping the protected alcoholic drinks together. That would be another way for readers to find these things once they're interested, without the same challenge of trying to make the list complete or writing out references, since the referencing is presumably already there in the articles about the individual drinks, which for categories is enough.
