July 2020[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Beothuk, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Really? One 60-year-old source for that claim that contradicts the rest of the article? Meters (talk) 08:52, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Beothuk, you may be blocked from editing. Per WP:BRD please discuss this on the article's talk page. A blog is not a reliable source. The Sun piece is better, but your claims exceed what the sources support, and certainly do not belong in the lead. Our article has a section about the genocide claims, and is not nearly as clear cut as you make it out to be. And do not make comments about editors in your edit summary as you did. This has nothing to do with me trying not to "show white people in a bad daylight", and everything to do with me trying to prevent you from adding improperly sourced POV. Did you really think that your first attempt (where you claimed that "The Beothuk are most noticeably known for being killed off for fun by European Colonists." sourced to nothing an ancient McLeans piece) was going to pass unchallenged? Please discuss any changes you propose to Beothuk on the article's talk page. The wording of that paragraph can likely be improved, but I do not agree that it should simply be removed. Your edits disruptive. :And please read WP:POV Meters (talk) 21:19, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I gave you a valid argument to delete that paragraph, but you still undid my revision. You are trying to prove your point with irrelevant articles which shows that you desperately want your point to be taken as the truth, whether it’s actually true or not. That makes you the one who’s biased, not me. Instead of throwing “WP:POV” at me you should read it yourself.

That article didn’t even mention the word Beothuk. How is it relevant to this article. It’s misleading. You are trying to deny a genocide by using a source that has nothing to do with the subject (Beothuk). Do you think I’m stupid?
