October 2020[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Versatile Video Coding, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

I have seen it on 1h long official lecture published on YouTube.

The video had about 56 views at the time.

I suppose, someone could very quickly confirm it.

As I recall 4 switchable patent pools were to be created.

December 2020[edit]

Hello, I'm Victor Schmidt. I noticed that in this edit to AV1, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Victor Schmidt (talk) 15:39, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

January 2021[edit]

Information icon Please do not attack other editors. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you.—J. M. (talk) 19:30, 22 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I was just attacking useless deleters, who are exact opposite of spammers.
Yet still useless.
How can one defend deleting links to free or Open Source Software?
As for free or Open Source Software the only question to ask is work-ability.
Does the soft do what needs to be done?
You have login, so you may delete whatever you want and block anonymous users.
Delete all those thorough and extensive list of free open source software
Start with that: Lists_of_software. There is a lot of not notable enough software.
A lot of not notable enough software
And Why someone deletes more what needs to be deleted even according to his summary?
Because He/SHe is useless deleter.
Useless deleters keep attacking content by removal.
I want wikipedia policy against useless deleters.
I have right to hope for that.
But I does not want to have login myself, as in itself it is against agnostic - anonymous wisdom and rules.
I will need help of login users for that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.187.202.138 (talk) 20:35, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You said,

I was just attacking useless deleters,

Don't attack anybody. That is contrary to Wikipedia's WP:CIVILITY policy and WP:NPA, and if you continue to do this after being warned, you may get sterner warnings, or you might have your edit privileges suspended. Comment on articles, or on policy, not on editors. Cheers, Mathglot (talk) 07:27, 31 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
