If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Bobby Hackett, you may be blocked from editing. freshacconci (✉) 16:42, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Freshacconci AllMusic is a near universal source found on even the highest charted of albums as a source, even for the credits themselves. I do not see how this is a problem as a result. I quote from there:

No consensus No consensus, unclear, or additional considerations apply: The source is marginally reliable (i.e. neither generally reliable nor generally unreliable), and may be usable depending on context. Editors may not have been able to agree on whether the source is appropriate, or may have agreed that it is only reliable in certain circumstances

AllMusic is user generated and as such is not reliable, other than the reviews written by contracted authors. freshacconci (✉) 16:49, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have seen the website personally vets the information, and even I was requested of sources to back it up. Compared to other websites, it is an incomparable source given that even with these selected articles, there would virtually be no alternative for such outdated material from pre-Internet era. This to illustrate there would even be few other options for sourcing this kind of area.

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Neal Hefti. Binksternet (talk) 06:22, 27 May 2022 (UTC) Binksternet I highly disagree with this, based in the mutual mistaken of this being “vandalism” when it is factual and relevant followed by the secondary that it was appropriate to the article itself. This fits in no way of actual vandalism. I should also add all information is sourced to each individual already included, several times I will add, in the articles themselves. As a final note, all these are actually pertinent to the article’s own information given it is not included and also does expand into the musician’s own credits history. I genuinely do not believe any of this is necessary in the way phrased above.[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Garden of Love (album). This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 06:41, 27 May 2022 (UTC) There is no disagreement here, I only observed you removed a user’s inclusion of what is listed as Funk at AllMusic, contrary to what your edit summary said. I already stated a comment above that you haven’t responded to since it was posted.[reply]

You have been adding trivial stuff to the first paragraph of musician biographies, stuff about minor aspects but delivered as if it was top importance, since it is at the top of the article. You must learn to incorporate your findings more smoothly, to integrate them into biographies in proper balance with the biggest aspects. That is, the biggest aspects should be the most heavily covered aspects. Minor things should be buried in the article body. See WP:WEIGHT. Binksternet (talk) 06:50, 27 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Binksternet I do understand your point but I do disagree with reverting valid information that was inserted and Tricky Sam being one example where it even blended in with the Duke Ellington Orchestra relevance.

I believe a part I am not making clear is that, the weight matter aside, this is to illustrate first and front, the person has made contributions in other capacities beyond that and I still stand by the Tricky Sam example. It does not help in some cases to bury it if there are examples where it will scatter the main point of this also accompanying the first line to begin with, and case in point, Oscar Brashear covers this perfectly. I examined Pinetop Smith if it could tied into the article but as you can see for yourself, the labyrinth variations of the decades and years he played the relevant instruments range into that this would cause several different sentences.

I examined Oscar Brashear’s usage of the saxophone, trombone and flugelhorn and this goes back to the 1970s including with hit albums and groups such as EWF. I do not see a need not to state this as it does relate to his career and without it, it is missing what correctly states his credits. I ask that you recuse yourself on some of these reverts as it suggests a simple disagreement with my good faith of adding it in the first place, and it is definitely not vandalism the way you insinuate it.
I will also state that I do not simply add this onto Oscar Brashear because of some minority viewpoint, even the first page of Google Books of a flugelhorn search finds several credits. Next, I will state the WP:Weight as you stated speaks of a broadly different subject based on its terminology. Either way, “ In addition, the majority view should be explained sufficiently to let the reader understand how the minority view differs from it” is why what I’ve adds a clearer understanding and view.

The fact that it even entered your mind to make this edit shows your staggering incompetence (see the guideline about the lead section) and the fact that you have been editing as an IP despite the many advantages of having an account shows your unfathomable disrespect for Wikipedia. You are not welcome here. Graham87 12:01, 29 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This edit is highly misleading and does not follow the source at all. Your edits are completely untrustworthy . Also judging by your editing pattern, it seems that you may have previously had an account. I'd be curious to know what its name was. Graham87 12:58, 29 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It also seems per your edits and comments above that you have an extreme conflict of interest regarding AllMusic. You need to declare it and not add the site gratuitously as a source. Graham87 13:16, 29 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
