Warning

I edited a file: this edit to cooperate with a request to provide an explanation as to why it is permitted under the policy. I did so, following the guidelines here: [1]. ? Iamdooser (talk) 23:21, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Ha, it's kinda funny you have this on your page and don't really seem to be following its ideals. I was just considering never contributing again before I saw that, since almost every edit I've done has received a 'bite'. Iamdooser (talk) 23:25, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi, I've stripped back the unsourced text of the article and now replaced your suggested speedy delete with an AFD, your comments are welcome. I'm not convinced this page was created as a hoax but recent apparent vandalism has muddied the waters. A lack of any obvious corroborative sources available by simple Google searches seems to warrant an AFD on the basis of notability at this point and so deciding what detail is verifiable in the article may become irrelevant anyway. Thanks (talk) 09:40, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

Rollback

Did you use rollback when removing my edit to September 11 attacks?--MONGO 06:49, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

Rollback is a user right employed to combat vandalism... Not a tool of convenience... Stop trolling... - 4twenty42o (talk) 07:07, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
That you suggest I have to use a talkpage and you don't to revert my edit is trolling behavior if I ever saw it.--MONGO 08:10, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
What I reverted was the removal of a name from the see also section of an article that is on my watch-list.. And I reverted, explaining in my edit summary, your edit because your summary made no sense and perhaps you should explain on the talk page... And what that did was fuel your paranoid mind even further... So you came here hoping to catch me misusing rollback. With the obvious hope of filing at AN/I or going to find a sympathetic admin and have rollback revoked. Instead you found someone who really doesn't mind telling you to fuck off and stop trolling... So you tried to turn the tables and accuse me of trolling.. Once again.. Quit trolling, I find your paranoia and all around behavior rather boring.. That just about adequately sums up our encounter... - 4twenty42o (talk) 01:36, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

who are you accusing of bad faith?

The IP editor on justified has no business asking me if i watch the show. it has nothing to do with his edit needing a reference. he will indeed be disciplined if he continues making uncivil remarks, as will you if you do not assume good faith. I did not say i would discipline him. if he were not an ip editor i would have remarked on his talk page. as it is, my brief remark in the summary was civil and accurate, and the edit will be reverted if it is not referenced - perhaps you can provide that reference? μηδείς (talk) 06:09, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

WP:burden:

The burden of evidence lies with the editor who adds or restores material. All quotations and any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable, published source using an inline citation.

The reference you added does not mention Lexington on the page linked to - just Harlan County. Please find the page on that website that actually mentions Lexington and link directly to it.μηδείς (talk) 16:39, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

Never mind. It does mention the "Lexington office" which is sufficient.μηδείς (talk) 16:42, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

Template message :)

Per your request at User talk:J.delanoy:

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Airplaneman 19:12, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

Thanks! - 4twenty42o (talk) 20:30, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

Possible collaboration

I am in the process of looking for the correct board to report A520. But your edit isn't exactly contributing. At the moment I will assume good faith, but and as both your IPs are located within the UK, I will be researching both your edit historys to see if you are collaborating together or are the same person on multiple accounts. I will take correct action if so. 27.33.143.93 (talk) 09:45, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

If you are in some way suggesting that i am a damn Limey...I must politely suggest that you have lost your mind. First of all I am in the good old USA...which MAY make A520 and I distant cousins but in no way suggests collaboration of any kind nor any sort or puppetry. We both happen to believe your way of going about editing is wrong. Period. Feel free to look into my edit history and try not to be offended when I tell you to piss off for suggesting that I am anything but a good faith editor...OKAY? - 4twenty42o (talk) 09:53, 5 June 2011 (UTC) The rewriting now also matches and corresponds to the relevant article and picture depicted but you say is vandalism, how odd. 27.33.143.93 (talk) 10:09, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
If you wish to make changes that have been challenged, I suggest you work towards building a consensus instead of attempting to bulldog your way around. Suggest changes...you are editing anonymously and for all i know you could be adding katakana texts that suggest that all Americans eat Nippon babies raw for breakfast... I on the other hand am known as a bit of a hot head but am not known as either a vandal nor a blatant asshole. Pick and choose your battles and remember that there is no time schedule on Wikipedia. - 4twenty42o (talk) 10:15, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

Edit war at Orc (Middle-earth)

Hi 4twenty42o. Since you've been involved in yesterday's incident with IP 68.205.7.47 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) at Orc (Middle-earth) I'd like to inform you that we're now discussing the matter on ANI. Regards, De728631 (talk) 09:38, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

Emmett O'Donnell

I've provided a source for his nickname; I trust that the USAF official site passes muster. I found that link on the official photo; note that you broke the link to the image in your edit ([2]). Best, Mackensen (talk) 17:06, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

Dude.

It wasn't vandalism. I was trying to source it, but it didn't go through because of a stupid edit conflict. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Television51 (talkcontribs) 05:01, 12 June 2011 (UTC)

"Dude.." Hawthorne is most certainly not post-hardcore..and I have been watching your edits. You ARE being disruptive and vandalizing pages. Knock it off or get blocked. No matter to me. - 4twenty42o (talk) 05:05, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
Ugh.. you're breaking my balls dudeee! But on a lighter note, congrats on taking the well spent time to edit a HH article (: Television51 (talk) 05:07, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
Actually you're breakin' your own balls... I am just killin' time 'til I have to go to work. It's really kinda simple. Just behave now please :) - 4twenty42o (talk) 05:09, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
