October 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Some of the recent edits you made have been reverted, as they appear to be unconstructive. If you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing for further information. Thank you. --Dan56 (talk) 19:59, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is a 10 review maximum for the review template (WP:Albums#Reception). Dan56 (talk) 20:17, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

10-review limit[edit]

Hi, I have reverted your addition of the About.com review to the Tha Carter III article. As it seems you've already been told (after your last addition), the guidelines at WP:Albums#Reception tell us, "Include no more than ten reviews in table form. When choosing which reviews to include, consider the notability of the review source and keeping a neutral point of view.". My opinion is that About.com is weaker than the other review sources already in the article; I certainly don't see it as being more respected than The Village Voice or Rolling Stone.

If you disagree, of course, you can go to the Discussion page of that article and try to hash out a consensus for a change. You'll have to convince other editors which review to remove, and why. Remember that the main content for reviews should be in the prose, while the little ratings table is just for a quick overview. Good luck and, in any case, happy editing. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 21:52, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

November 2010[edit]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Tha Carter III. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. You've been advised about the 10-review limit we observe, and given some tips about how to get the About.com review added to the article above. Please follow the path of discussion and collaboration; the repeated addition you've been making is disruptive. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 01:45, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Tha Carter III, you may be blocked from editing. I have reverted your latest replacement of the Village Voice review with one from About.com. You have not achieved consensus for your change through discussion as you were advised. Making this change that you have is a reasonable-seeming thing the first time, but you have done it repeatedly, and failed to recognize the concerns of other editors. Please go to Talk:Tha Carter III, start a new section, and explain your reasons for wanting to add About.com and remove Village Voice (or any other review you think is inferior to About.com's). If you are persuasive, you should be able to make the change without worrying about it being immediately reverted, as will otherwise be the case. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 17:07, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning; the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Tha Carter III, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. SQGibbon (talk) 07:23, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
