Umm... I explained why. You apparently did not like the explanation. Can you avoid reverting changes in the future like this without thinking or discussing? Thanks.

Your explanation is insufficient. You dismiss referenced material, without discussion, on the basis that a psychiatrist (who is a physician) should not be a source for physical ailments. Ifnord (talk) 05:16, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You simply cherry-picked one part of my reasoning. These events have occurred independently, in several nations, reported by dozens of first-hand witnesses, since this section was written. Your bizzare belief that speculative opinion becomes fact if any physician claims otherwise is irrational. Wikipedia is not a place for speculative opinion of any kind, and speculation does not become fact no matter who makes the claim.

My belief is irrelevant, and you're probably making incorrect assumptions. The point is that there is referenced material which point to a psychogenetic cause - and more references which say it does not. Both are reliably sourced, removing them because you do not believe it to be so is wrong. Ifnord (talk) 05:25, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The material that is referenced refers to speculative opinions. You do realize that just because a speculation is written down, doesn't mean it is evidence right? I do not appreciate that we are including speculative assumptions along with real hard evidence.

You are obviously bonded to this issue, I am not. I will leave this for other editors, but food for thought: the section you are removing also contains the referenced material against such an origin. If there is no concrete and universally accepted cause, why would you not want to explain all possible cause and show why they can be ruled out? Ifnord (talk) 05:32, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Ifnord. I noticed that you recently removed content from Havana syndrome without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. You have removed referenced material. Please, discuss those changes on the talk page first. Ifnord (talk) 05:11, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Havana syndrome, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Havana syndrome. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Ifnord (talk) 05:26, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.Slatersteven (talk) 17:26, 11 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at Talk:Havana syndrome, (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
