I wouldn't worry about the vote for deletion, seems like its just some vandal messing about with a spurious nomination. I've never thanked you for turning up at the article, but it's made my life much easier; I'd been patrolling it pretty much by myself for about 4 or 5 months. Now, for deleting articles.

Criteria for Speedy Deletion. Basically if it's absolute nonsense.

Use Proposed deletion if the article won't go down without a fight in your judgement, use it first for the most part.

Now, if the PROD is opposed or you know there might be trouble (as I did with the Gprime article), you want to open up an article for deletion. Simply follow the three easy steps. I found a talk page with somebody's email in the edit summaries-how would I go about getting it removed?

I assumed that the email was place maliciously. In this case it seems innocent, they want people to email them the solution. I don't think spam is going to be a problem. Registered accounts get the ability to run javascript which gets stored in their monobook.js file. You can see mine here.
