In particular, the source you used for the claim of Elkies' family background appears not to say anything about that — it merely lists Elkies as being a composer of works on Jewish themes (which could easily be true for some non-Jews). And the category you tried to add, "Jewish mathematicians", has been repeatedly deemed not to meet Wikipedia's standards for categorization and repeatedly deleted. —David Eppstein (talk) 05:46, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
