People of the Philippines[edit]

Hi, thanks for your work on Filipino biographical articles, but you don't need to add an article to Category:People of the Philippines if it is already in a more specific category such as Category:Philippine writers or Category:Filipino historians, since those categories are already subcategories of the "People of the Philippines" category. By the way, you might also be interested in Category:Filipino Wikipedians and Wikipedia:Tambayan Philippines. :) Coffee 20:19, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sabadodo[edit]

Hi, I noticed your question at User talk:Anonymous anonymous. If you are concerned about the edits of User:Sabadodo, you should warn or discuss them at User talk:Sabadodo. If the editor is just being disruptive and has been warned, they may be blocked or banned.

By the way, you signature links to the article 7258 rather than User:7258 as it should.--Commander Keane 13:59, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

About your comments[edit]

Hi, if you warn a vandal, or if you ask an admin or another editor to look into it, and some of the vandalism could be seen as a possible attack, please don't repeat the content of it on the talk pages. If it's about someone from some school, like in this case, the name they mention is very likely to be a class mate, and if so, it wouldn't be nice if, when he googled his name, these talk pages would show up as a result. I hope you don't mind I edited this out of your comments. Thanks though, for helping to revert the vandalism! --JoanneB 19:19, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar[edit]

I gave you a Barnstar in your user page. Have a nice day.

Help[edit]

Someone whose I.P. address is 82.43.160.203 has been persistently attempting to vandalize numerous wikipedia pages from November 20, 2005 to March 30, 2006. Kindly look after this. Thank you very much - 7258 15:36, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This IP is registered to a British ISP that, to the best of my knowledge, uses semi-random DHCP assignment. Blocking it would be likely to cause collateral damage. Some of the edits above appear to be valid, and there's only been one instance of vandalism in the past month. I see no reason to take any action at this time. Thank you for your concern. Belated Happy Easter![edit]

Belated Happy Easter To You! Sorry for the late greeting! Ω Anonymous anonymous Ψ: ''Have A Nice Day'' 00:12, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted a recent edit you made to the article Category:Filipino writers. You did not provide an edit summary, and I could not determine whether the edit was vandalism or a constructive contribution. In the future, please use edit summaries. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. NetK 16:36, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

7258, thank you for your timely reply. If you feel those changes you had made on Filipino writers clarified the subject further, by all means please revert them back. Please use an edit summary to advise fellow editors this is a contribution, as unfortunately there is a great deal of vandalism that occurs on Wikipedia which we are attempting to circumvent. Thanks and regards. NetK 16:53, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Filipino writer stubs[edit]

Note that stub categories should be dealt with at WP:SFD and not WP:CFD, as mentioned on the CFD page. --TheParanoidOne 21:20, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It has been two days since you added the {{cfr}} notice to this category and you still haven't added an entry to either WP:CFD or WP:SFD, so I have removed the notice. --TheParanoidOne 19:32, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. You nominated the above cat for deletion, yet I cannot see the discussion at CFD? Have you completed the nomination correctly? Or is it my failing eyesight? The JPS talk to me 11:12, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. If you ever need a hand, just yell. I'll probably oppose the nomination, though -- I've explained why on the cat's talk page. The JPS talk to me 12:23, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notification[edit]

I have formatted your edit at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Marvin Reyes as it was not according to common convention. Please visit and confirm. Thanks. -Ambuj Saxena (talk) 14:21, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You should see WP:AFD. It will clear your doubts. Thanks -Ambuj Saxena (talk) 14:24, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not take it upon yourself to rename categories, as you have done with Category:Filipino writers toCategory:Writers from the Philippines. Category renames need to go through WP:CFD just like category deletions do. Having done the rename yourself, and then placed the old cat up for deletion, we are now faced with the real possibility of the deletion failing because of opposition, and having all your moves need to be undone.

On another aspect, all your manual work changing the categories was pretty much unnecessary, even if the rename debate were to pass. When renames pass through WP:CFD, we have bots that do the move work. So you really don't need to do the moves yourself, let the process handle it, and the moves will be done for you. - TexasAndroid 18:34, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You may be interested in populating the category. Thanks. --Howard the Duck | talk, 13:04, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Balagtas[edit]

You’re right. Must’ve thought though that the category was for citizens of Spain (including its former imperial subjects). Thanks for the correction. —Lagalag 06:49, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
