January 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Talk:Greater Oslo has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. 5 albert square (talk) 01:35, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Final Fantasy VIII are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Re: why did you revert me[edit]

Hi, I think he reverted you because you attacked another editor ("please ignore the liar" is not a very friendly sentence). You can comment on the talk page if you want, as long as you are civil and keep a cool head. --T H F S W (T · C · E) 01:45, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps I am missing something, but he did not seem to be doing anything disruptive. Even if they were, calling them names back isn't going to help. If you really think they are being deliberately disruptive, please take this to WP:AN/I; if they are just rude, WP:WQA. --T H F S W (T · C · E) 01:52, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This user has been trying to argue that the Greater Oslo Region doesn't exist for a long time, an argument which has been discredited with the evidence several times, see Talk:Eurovision Song Contest 2010/Archive 3#bærum not a part of oslo. FAQ answers 1 to 4 go over the subject at Talk:Eurovision Song Contest 2010. This user was only allowed back onto Wikipedia after withdrawing the following threat: [1]. I'm not too happy that editors are having to waste further time dealing with such a trivial issue. CT Cooper · talk 11:57, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
