New message from Chess

You are invited to join the discussion at Wikipedia:Education noticeboard § RfC on banning word or edit counts for student assignments. This is because you're listed as a point of contact for the University of Sydney with respect to the Wikipedia Education Program and this RfC will likely affect a course at that institution. Fixed archiving of your talk page

Hi! I took the liberty of fixing the archive settings on this page. It looks like they've never worked. They should work now, or if you'd prefer to keep archiving manually, feel free to remove them. --rchard2scout (talk) 10:16, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

Thanks heaps! --99of9 (talk) 12:44, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

@JarrahTree: Great. Sorry - I've been prepping for this event tomorrow morning: Wikipedia:GLAM/Australian_libraries_and_WP/Events/City_of_Sydney_First_Nations. --99of9 (talk) 12:42, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Never apologise - there is a need for a big discussion off wiki perhaps later down the line - best of luck for the event! JarrahTree 12:44, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

St John

Do you recall where you first found this ref to the sketchbook ? Seems it was an actual sighting with a page and later other refs added, maybe personal collection ? Can you send a pic of the front back inside cover ? Just to fill the ref out and note it well. Dave Rave (talk) 03:43, 6 January 2022 (UTC)

@Dave Rave: Yes, it is a hardcopy of a self-published booklet, which I have in my personal collection. I've located it again, but it doesn't have much info. The front cover has text: "A SKETCHBOOK OF ST JOHN'S ASHFIELD 1840-1980". The inside first page repeats exactly that. The back cover has a drawing and label "Mrs. Elizabeth Underwood". The inside back cover has a drawing and "A SECTION OF THE ROSE GARDEN". The details I did get came from the foreword (3rd page) by Stanford R Colefax, Rector. He writes "The concept of A Sketchbook of St John's comes from Miss Ruth Smith and Mr Ron White to whom we are grateful for this presentation." So I don't think there's much more I can add. Do you want me to scan any of those? It's not an academic work, but it seems to have decent local on-the-ground knowledge. --99of9 (talk) 23:59, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
not that I'm worried about OR it helps if you document the un-findable refs you are using. I had an obscure ref to a magazine I found a copy of the mag online and managed to get pics of the pages for posterity. Also, others (me) might recognise other worthy notations that could be used Dave Rave (talk) 00:35, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
@Dave Rave: I'm not sure where I can put pics without violating copyright. If you send me an email address, I can send them to you. --99of9 (talk) 01:08, 10 January 2022 (UTC)

99of9 hello. I blocked in Commons. Please help for unblock me. I am professional photographer who's travel around the world and take photos. I am here mostly for upload my photo. Please check my credits in official website, Instagram or Facebook. I also have registered company. Thank you. Photo Eminency (talk) 11:46, 4 December 2022 (UTC)

@Photo Eminency: blocking is not really about how good you are at photography. It's more about whether you follow the rules on Wikimedia sites. It looks like you didn't follow the anti-sockpuppetry rules. Why not? --99of9 (talk) 01:23, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
