1948 British Grand Prix

Hi, I recently updated all driver result tables as the British GP of 1948 was not yet a Grandes Épreuve per this source. This however led to the discussion here. I'm having trouble finding proper sources stating the British Grand Prix of 1948 was a Grandes Épreuve or not. I have had a look in my magazine/book collection but I have not found anything yet.
