Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page The Avenue (web series) has been reverted.
Your edit here to The Avenue (web series) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.youtube.com/user/stephaneparereports‎) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. I just wrote an article about Beth E. Mooney, the CEO of KeyCorp, and one of only two women who run US banks valued at over $10 billion. ( I am just saying that so you know she is really wiki worthy.) I would like to put a picture of her up on the article, along with an infobox, but the whole copyright issue has made me crazy, and I am not at all sure even how to begin to get a picture that can legally go up on Wikipedia. I understand I need the permission of both the subject of the photo, ie Ms. Mooney, but I also need the explicit permission from the photographer, ie the copyright holder. This effort really seems beyond me. Can you help ease me through this process. It cant be that bad, there are tons of pictures of famous people on Wikipedia. How did they get there??

Thanks for your help.

Hi ADDgrammar. Famous people tend to be in public a fair bit, so the vast majority of our images of such people are simply taken by Wikipedia contributors (in most jurisdictions, the subject's consent to publication is unnecessary so long as they are in a public place when photographed). In some cases, PR companies donate their copyrighted materials to Wikipedia by re-licensing them under the CC-BY-SA licence, but generally speaking it's down to individual users taking snaps of their favourite celebrities (this is why so many Wikipedia images of famous people are taken at award ceremonies, premiers or conventions).
My suggestion (assuming that Ms Mooney isn't sufficiently local to you that you can get a picture of her down the local shops) would be to contact her PR representatives and see whether they would be willing to release an image under a licence that Wikipedia can use. You will need to get them to email the image to permissions-en@wikimedia.org@ along with an email using the wording found here, and the email will need to come from thier official email address. For more information, you can point them at this page. Hope that helps. Yunshui  10:03, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disclosure required[edit]

Since October 2014, you have almost exclusively created or greatly expanded articles and drafts on many businesspeople and businesses, including the following.

This might lead an editor to conclude you have some kind of undisclosed financial connection to these entities. If you do, you must disclose the connection under Wikipedia's Terms of Service as described at WP:COI. — Brianhe (talk) 20:58, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Brianhe, and any other editor with a similar concern for my understanding of COI, Thanks for the heads up concerning my edits since October. I want to reassure the Wikipedia community that I have no connection to any of the people I have written about in the list above, and they have no connection to each other. I simply enjoy writing bios, and I have found my subject matter in a number of way. In some cases I read about an interesting person in the news and went to look him/her up on Wikipedia, and to my surprise (and happiness) that person was not already there, so I had a chance to write my own wiki about him/her. In other cases I looked at lists of people I found in Wikipedia and saw names that did not have wiki links. Again I saw this as my chance to create a new article. I tried to have a NPOV when writing, and based all my information on what I could find in articles from respected sources. But if you think it does not look good for me to focus so sharply on individual bios, I will make a concerted effort to find additional subjects of interest to write about. Proposed deletion of Steve Rasmussen[edit]

The article Steve Rasmussen has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Subject fails notability requirements in WP:BIO. Local business roundtables/halls of fame don't rise to substantial coverage, nor routine executive directory listing at Bloomberg.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Categories[edit]

Can you ensure that the categories that you add to new articles follow the procedures set out at WP:CAT. Articles should be in the mast appropriate category. THanks. -- Alan Liefting (talk - contribs) 03:13, 30 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
