Milan Lucic[edit]

Hey there, you must be the infamous IP address that continues to edit Milan Lucic's page. Sorry about any hard feelings, but the nature of Wikipedia is that any disputable information that is not properly cited has to be deleted (Wikipedia:Verifiability). This is especially enforced with articles pertaining to living persons. Furthermore, vandalizing my user page violates Wikipedia's policy that states no personal attacks, let alone standard human decency and understanding, and can have you blocked.

Please don't take my editing personally. I encourage you to find a proper source for the edits in question, but if not, I have to continue to remove it. I'm also not sure that girlfriends are significant enough material to add to an ice hockey article, but feel free to present a competing argument. Thanks. Hopefully we can resolve this in a civil manner. Orlandkurtenbach (talk) 02:17, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Haha.. yah, it can come off that way sometimes. The thing is that because anyone can edit Wikipedia, anything contesetable that is uncited has to be dealt with otherwise Wikipedia, as an information database, loses its credibility (if it has very much at all). Just make sure all your future edits are entirely accurate and remember everyone here's trying to accomplish the same thing! Orlandkurtenbach (talk) 05:14, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ne-Yo[edit]

Hi
I noticed that you changed the birth date in the Ne-Yo article, even though it is sourced by an interview from the guy, and the comment specifically repeated that. Yet you changed it, and left the source intact. Is there a reason why you think that he was born in 1982?
Also, thanks for removing the comment from your user page. Please try to always stay cool, even if people bug you.
Cheers, AmaltheaTalk 00:43, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the source that we link to directly after the birth date: [1]. It aired on 23 June 2008, and he said "I'll be 29 years young this year, October 18th". There's also [2], which seems halfway reliable, too.
Looking through the page history I know that we listed 1982 as his year of birth for quite some time, so I think that we are responsible for most of those 1982 birth years out there. Do you have any reliable source that says 1982, one that isn't in some blog, fansite, or other self- or user-published page?
Thanks & Cheers, AmaltheaTalk 23:46, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not at all offended, I replied to you asking why I think that he is 28, and was honestly only asking if you had a good source for 25. I'm sorry if I came across as impolite.
Peace to you, too. --AmaltheaTalk 23:57, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Heh, no, it's probably just because I don't have a life. ;-) --AmaltheaTalk 00:02, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You too. --AmaltheaTalk 00:08, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
