You must immediately request deletion of the image, which you are falsely claiming as your own work and putting this entire project in jeopardy. You must also immediately comply with the conflict of interest policy and formally disclose your relationship with this individual. I have already seen your draft, you may submit is as the box at the top describes, but it is likely to be rejected quickly as highly promotional. Images are not relevant to the draft approval process, which only considers the text and sources. You need to disclose the conflict of interest now, and go to Commons and request deletion of the image that you are still falsely claiming as your own work now.

The image has been marked as needing evidence of permission. That will need to be something on his personal website releasing the image, or a formal declaration of consent by the copyright holder(which usually isn't the person depicted in the image), allowing use of the image by anyone for any purpose with attribution. If you have or can get that, follow the instructions provided on the image page at Commons. It will need to be more than just a "yeah, you can use it" via email or Twitter/X.

You do have an association with this person- you contacted them about what you were doing here(to get an image). If you don't want to have to declare a conflict of interest, you shouldn't contact the subjects of your edits.
