Hello Abigailngwx. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to NCS Group, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Abigailngwx. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Abigailngwx|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 07:35, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! I noted that you updated the same page similarly soon after I reverted COI editing by User:Ncsgroupmarketing which is blocked for being a shared promotional user account. As per the above warning, please note that even with an individual account, it is still promotional COI editing if you are an employee of NCS group or any subsidiaries. I kindly like to ask you to make that declaration either by the steps outlined above or make a simple statement that you have no COI with NCS group. Thanks --Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 07:39, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Justanothersgwikieditor: Hi, i have just made the COI declaration on my user page. thanks. i will make the proposal for edits to the article's Talk page as suggested.
@Abigailngwx: Thank you for making the declaration and following the suggested steps. Do sign your comment by adding ~~~~ to the end of your comment to auto generate a signature. Thanks! --Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 02:52, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

hi i'd like to appeal an unblock to this username, as im hoping to get guidance to provide contributions that are in line with wiki policies, previous efforts made to edit pages were blocked as phrases were deemed promotional in nature, however im hoping to receive objective feedback on news articles that would be informational in nature. Abigailngwx (talk) 05:08, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

There is no block on this username directly. If you are being affected by an indirect block, you will need to tell the exact message that appears when you attempt to edit. 331dot (talk) 07:14, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I will note that Wikipedia articles are not simply informational. Wikipedia is not for merely providing information; Wikipedia article summarize what independent reliable sources with signficant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a topic, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of notability. 331dot (talk) 07:14, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What is your connection to the account User talk:Ncsmarketingsingapore? 331dot (talk) 07:16, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@331dot: hi i created ncsmarketingsingapore as i thought it would be more clear the source and provide full disclosure the nature of edits provided, without knowing that it defies username policy. sure i'd like to only provide statements from independant news sources that would add valuable information to the history of the company ncs group, is that possible? thank you for the guidance. Abigailngwx (talk) 07:24, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You will need to make further unblock requests from this account and no longer use the other one. That said, you won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about your company. You might later be permitted to indirectly contribute about your company once you have made an edit history in other areas demonstrating that you understand at least some Wikipedia guidelines. If there are other areas where you want to contribute, please tell what those are. 331dot (talk) 07:40, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@331dot: thanks, i would be perfectly fine with having a moderator review edits first, how would i be able to indirectly contribute to the company page within the week? can i, for example, site key sources in the talk page and have an editor or moderator revieww and make the change directly on the wiki page? thanks. I will make further unblock requires for this account, would you know how soon the unblock would usually happen? thanks.
Pings do not work unless you sign the same post in which you ping with ~~~~. Regarding your question; I apologize for being frank with you, but Wikipedia is not concerned with any deadlines you are under. There is no way to guarantee a speedy unblocking. I also doubt that you will be unblocked to make any contributions related to your company at this time, at least not without you showing a thorough understanding of the Wikipedia policies involved. However, it's not up to me any longer, so you may make another unblock request for someone else to review. 331dot (talk) 08:51, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

hi this is a further request to be unblocked in the hope of providing constructive contributions, possibly to have content cleared by a moderator before suggesting any subsequent edits so i can be sure that content is provided within the guidelines. thank you Abigailngwx (talk) 09:19, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

No, we aren't interested in that. Yamla (talk) 10:03, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
