Orphaned non-free media (Image:Isak novel cover.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Isak novel cover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:50, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Roslyn Fuller requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 16:11, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Roslyn Fuller, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Roslyn Fuller. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. ttonyb (talk) 20:17, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • I can give you a few pointers on how to improve this, and hopefully you can find what we're looking for. First and foremost, we're going to look at the sources, and they have to be reliable. A few good rules of thumb to use here: don't use any blog posts (note the Livejournal link in your article here), seek out articles that have Ms. Fuller as the subject (rather than merely mentioning her in a few sentences or less - she needs to be the focus), and try if possible to avoid television broadcasts. Also, make sure the links work - there's one for Metro Ire that gives me a flash animation about some free Metro link or something, but clicking on it doesn't do anything but pop open a new tab for me in Firefox. Granted, the latter is for formatting. =) Very important - check out all of those guidelines I posted for you in the AFD page. All of them are going to apply here. A good place to start is possibly Google News - but again, you need to seek out articles where Ms. Fuller is the subject of the article. One more place I'll point you - and this is especially important, is the main page for articles for deletion. Here, you'll find links to articles to go through on how to improve, and what to do now that your article is being looked at for possible deletion. Spend some time with this - you have a bit of time before we decide, but remember that your time is limited. In a worst case scenario, we can do what we call a userfy, where we put the article somewhere into your namespace, and you can continue to work on it from there - in hopes that the article will meet our standards. Good luck, and thanks for asking. --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 02:35, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:RoslynFuller2013.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:RoslynFuller2013.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Deletion of Roslyn_Fuller[edit]

This page was deleted because the individual did not meet the Wikipedia:Credible claim of significance requirements for inclusion in Wikipedia. This was noted in my deletion of the page. If you would like to recreate the page, please review the criteria. You may also want to ensure that this person meets the Wikipedia:Notability requirements as well. While that was not the basis for the speedy delete, it will be used by other admins. Thanks for participating in Wikipedia! Jinian (talk) 19:36, 23 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain how the article does not meet the significance criterion. The subject is a known academic with ample media coverage. At the time of its initial creation over three years ago it also passed the notability criterion (history is available on my talk page). The subject has just recently been featured in an article on Russia Today - link on your talk page. Please elaborate what you are looking for to meet significance criterion?

In case you haven't seen, the DRV on Roslyn Fuller has been closed early by overturning the delete so the article can now be edited again. Someone might try sending it to AFD for deletion straight away. Thincat (talk) 09:49, 24 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I see that the past AFD was upheld. Sorry for the churn on this. Jinian (talk) 18:57, 24 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
