NT and EAs over FAT[edit]

"NT does support OS/2 Extended Attributes on FAT16, notably for OS/2 1.x apps support" Have you checked it? Can you show me screenshot or official documentation please? Thanks — Claunia 23:16, 23 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

On your most recent Vista update, that wasn't vandalism, you were just clarifying. A "shell" is another word for "Operating Environment". (Please respond on my talk page.) tinlv7 02:10, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Arrm... I mean Windows. (Please respond on my talk page.) tinlv7 02:10, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Since you started here, let's continue here too. The article clarifies what Windows was in various stages, and it was never just a shell in the usual meaning people (and Wikipedia) give to that word. Operating environment seems like a good word (look at what is written on the product box on the photo), since it suggests services both "below" programs (API, kernel, drivers), "aside" (utilities) and "above" (management). BTW, the "operating environment" article could use some editing help... Adam Mirowski 03:12, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
