It appears you're trying to enter articles with HTML coding. Might I suggest you read Wikipedia:Tutorial for some easier wiki formatting tips? Also, be careful about our WP:NPOV policy. He may have been "a man of great thinking" or something like that, but saying so in the article, violates the policy. I also saw you got sidetracked a few times. Information about the painting doesn't really belong in his biography. And neither is information about the city's development. Try staying on topic and discuss only what is relevant to Brown's life. The last time this was deleted, it wasn't me. What got it deleted that time around is that the "granddaughter perspective" isn't the right tone for an encyclopedia. You can't directly copy the biography from the Dictionary of New Zealand Biographies website as you did, because it violates copyright law. But you can use the information that's in it to write a biography in your own words for Wikipedia. If you actually wrote the material in there, please use the Contact Wikipedia link (here, or in the bar to the left) to contact some Wikipedia officials so they can confirm you own the copyright. - Mgm|(talk) 14:54, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
- To clarify why the article was last deleted as WP:CSD#A7 - The last version that I checked did not include that notice, which means notability was not asserted then. However, the content from Dictionary of New Zealand Biographies may assert notability, but a direct copy of it is a copyright violation, which means it will be deleted as WP:CSD#G12. This is actually a fixable problem, you can either follow Mgm's instructions if you do own the copyright, or phrase the article again in your own words and cite the website as a source.
