Going by your user name, it'd be useful to clear up if you are the person described in A. David Lewis. This will clear up any mistaken identity cases, and also any instances where comments may be wrongly attributed. We tend not to allow people use a user name of a notable person if they aren't that person because of the potential for misuse. Apologies to have to ask, but I hope you can appreciate why. Archaia Studios Press[edit]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Archaia Studios Press, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:LaLS coverfront.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:LaLS coverfront.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 22:53, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Owly frontcover.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Owly frontcover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:31, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Help request re. National Telecommuting Institute[edit]

{{helpme}} Have I supplied adequate outside sources to support the activities of this company? Adlewis (talk) 18:29, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Adlewis[reply]

Ref. National Telecommuting Institute
Hi. I've moved your help request here, to your talk page. Helps should go on here, because it's a discussion between yourself and helpers, and doesn't really concern other users (ie on the article discussion).
I'll take a look at this issue and reply here very soon. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  14:20, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The article looks OK-ish, and I don't think there is any immediate danger of deletion. Of course, there are a lot of things that could be improved;
The WP:LEDE section should be a brief summary of the content of the whole article. As a summary, it shouldn't contain information that is not given elsewhere in the article. In this case, it states the office locations - that's fine, but they're not elaborated on within the article itself. The best approach to this is, get the whole article into shape and *then* write the lede - making it a short résumé of the whole.
For that reason, the Lede does not necessarily need references - however, either everything should be referenced in the lede, or nothing (because all the facts will appear elsewhere in the main body and be referenced there).
So - regarding references - the office locations. How can you 'prove' this to me, the reader? I need a reliable independent source that I can check to see if these offices exist.
The same applies to all the facts in the article. The 'History' has no references at all. If the info about Dr. M.J. Willard cannot be referenced to a reliable source, it must be removed.
I hope that this gives you some ideas for article development. For further reviews, you might like to ask on [[WP:FEED].
For more help, you can either;
  • Leave a message on my own talk page; OR
  • Use a {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put {{helpme}}, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end; OR
  • Talk to us live.
Best wishes,  Chzz  ►  14:52, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Carrie Eng requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. The article Howard E. Day Prize has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not a notable award.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. power~enwiki (π, ν) 07:05, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
