Welcome[edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! As I mentioned in my comment, I thought I'd leave a little information to help get you started here. First of all, you can sign any comments you leave on talk pages (either user talk pages or the talk page of articles) by typing ~~~~ at the end. When saved, this will automatically convert into a signature and timestamp, like so: GorillaWarfare (talk) 17:29, 18 February 2021 (UTC). There's also a little icon in the editing window that looks like this: , which will automatically insert your signature for you. There's no need to start your comments with "AObrien:" (though if you wish to, that's fine too)—typically the indentation, which I see you've already figured out, and the signature is enough to distinguish comments.[reply]

You might find Help:Introduction useful as well, for any questions you may run into. I also like to recommend WP:EYNTK as a concise primer for new editors—it's a lot more ingestible than some of our extremely long policy pages.

If you have any further questions, please do feel free to reach out to me directly either by asking on my talk page or leaving a comment on this talk page or at Talk:Alexa O'Brien and using the ping functionality. If you start your comment with {{ping|GorillaWarfare}} (or the username of another editor you wish to ping), and sign the comment as I described above, it will send a notification to make me (or the other editor) aware. You can also use the teahouse, which I see has been linked to you above, to receive help from other editors. GorillaWarfare (talk) 17:29, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

February 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 23:05, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
