July 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Motorcycle touring. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Please review Wikipedia's external links policy for clarity on when it is appropriate to link to external websites. — Brianhe (talk) 07:11, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe this will be clearer to you it:WP:LINK? — Brianhe (talk) 07:25, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest[edit]

Thanks for bringing the spam link at Motorcycle touring to my attention. It has now been deleted. Generally other stuff exists is not an argument for starting, or not deleting, something on Wikipedia. To answer the question you posted on my talk page, there is absolutely no difference between that link and the one you posted, they are both spam.

On a more serious note, it is a matter of public record that Jan Agnoletti Pedersen is the owner of tourstart.org, so it may be reasonable to infer from your username that you are somehow connected to the site. If that is true then you have a clear conflict of interest (see WP:COI). I would suggest that you cease any further attempt to push this website on Wikipedia and instead concentrate on improving articles that you have an interest in - making sure of course to abide by the five pillars (link above) --Biker Biker (talk) 07:17, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
