Baily Optic[edit]

Thought you might be interested. This massive optic is now in center-place in Mariners' Church, Dún Laoghaire, National Maritime Museum of Ireland. It left the Baily Lighthouse in 1972. It rotates, floating, on a bed of mercury. The church has been totally renovated. Work on the interior has just commenced. Regards ClemMcGann (talk) 11:34, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
