Hi, I didn't check the tagline and that is the reason, I didn't contest for it. This article is about a notable person who spent life in helping poor and needy. He started his service to people at an age of 16. Please let me know if you need any other information. Could you please let me know how can I get the article as I don't have the latest backup with me. Pkcgupta 13:03, 10 February 2007 (UTC)Kalyan Potta

Hola

Dude so you are in effect accusing me of being a meatpuppet? Look, i didnt have much involvement with Hkelkar or his socks. I was the one who pointed out his sockpuppetry to Rama's Arrow on Hindutva article. I only eidted Indian mathematics when I was going thru fowler and fowler's edits. I have reasons to believe Fowler and Fowler is acting as a meatpuppet on behalf of blocked POV pusher User:Nadirali. Amey Aryan DaBrood© 18:02, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Look at Subrahmanyan_Chandrasekhar , [1]... He has been editing the same set of article disrupted by Nadirali. He is on a conscious effort to replace every mention of India with British India over wikipedia see [2] [3]. I believe British India is a POV, non-standard weasel word. I didnt know that I was reverting to Hkelkar's version on Indian mathematics.. Amey Aryan DaBrood© 18:08, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Aksi you are beginning to act irrational. Ambroodey has been here for two years, probably longer than you. Hindu != Meatpuppet. I'm frankly surprised you try to back up your fantasies while discarding more logical statements made by other users.Bakaman 23:18, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Thats ok Baka. Frankly i'm not angry at Aksi for anything. I understand his concerns and presented my side of stroy to him... At any rate i'm considering retiring, just two days back my personal userpage was vandalised with my personal info for all to see. I'm sick of this lil' merry-go round everyone is going in. Its about the time people acted their ages not their shoe sizes. Amey Aryan DaBrood© 16:51, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi - in light of the fresh cases of socking, I've blocked Hkelkar indefinitely. I ask you to review the decision and the entire case, one final time. As the ANI discussion was dormant for some time while Hkelkar was not, there was no need to wait any longer (IMO). Rama's arrow 15:34, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

Concern

Since you did come down heavily on me for opposing Blnguyen's candidature for the Arbcom elections, I feel I should bring this incident to your notice here :-[4] If you edit the comment, you would see a link to a domain check, which gives an office address. Whether I work there or not is not relevant to this discussion, but you have here an Arbcom member, giving personal information to a user known to be hostile to me. Is this appropriate behaviour from a wikipedia arbcom member ?Haphar 11:37, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Whatever haphar thinks, I dont plan on actually even looking at the information. I learned something from BhaiSaab and other users, that if one stalks one can get stalked back. I dont plan on even looking at haphar's personal info, and know that where someone edits from is hardly an indication of their beliefs.Bakaman 23:58, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Concern

Hi Aksi, Belated happy birthday wishes!

I am getting concerned about user:Freedom skies edits. There are two areas of concern:

  • S/He has begun to remove material again that I have added to the Indian mathematics page. At first her/his complaint was that I was adding "Wikiquote material" (perhaps, since I was using "cquote"). I then began to paraphrase the quoted material and s/he complained that I had violated WP:NPOV and WP:NOR in my paraphrases. See the discussion here, where s/he produced some exact quotes (which I had added earlier) and claimed that my paraphrases were not accurate. So, I finally added the exact quotes (that s/he her/himself had quoted on the talk page) here in addition to adding some technical material here (essentially all the material that doesn't have a "citation needed" tag on it). Well, earlier today s/he made a number of edits, where s/he mostly removed material that was critical of the notion of Vedic mathematics. (See here). The material s/he has removed was all sourced and consists of text from articles in internationally known journals or well-known text-books published by Wiley and searchable on Amazon. I have refrained from reverting anything as I had promised you, but I can't prepare the article for the RfC that I am planning on the mathematics portal, if material keeps getting removed. Please advise.
  • What is troubling me more however, is a post on my talk page earlier today from user:IP198, who says that user: Freedom skies had stated in her/his edit summaries on some articles that IP198 is a sockpuppet of mine here and here. These are both articles that I have never edited, and hadn't even heard of the first, "Hindokowans." Here are user IP198's posts on my page: InitialPost and here are: my replies to user IP198. My only contact with user IP198 has been on the Talk: Salwar Kameez page, where as you can see, we have different points of view. I don't know what game user:Freedom skies has in mind, but he seems to have scared user IP198, who apparently fears getting blocked by Freedom skies! See their discussion here. As I suggested to user IP198, I am happy to challenge user: Freedom skies or anyone else to a checkuser ID (for me and IP198) and with the condition that the loser in the challenge donate $200 to the Wikimedia foundation! Anyway, please advise. Thanks! Fowler&fowler«Talk» 21:16, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

I recommend that a closer look regarding the discussions on Talk:Indian mathematics is in order. Severe misrepresentations were made by Fowler and he attempted to present those misrepesentations as actual "critisisms." My understanding is that content disputes are resolved before actually being put in the articles in concern; as is being done by me and other editors on Talk:Zen. Fowler has gone on revert wars and has even indiscriminately removed the citations I procured after hours of research. His purpose of edits and assesments of mathematics are also given on the talk page, which not only is unethical but since it seperates geometry from mathematics, is also flawed. Since he has asked you for advice, I would recommend that you use your position to bring Fowler to the discussion table before he reverts again. His section, as inappropriate as it is, has still been allowed by me to stay in the article for the time being.

I have concerns that the user in question may have ben a sockpuppet of Fowler, given the nature of the editor involved it would not be improbable to assume that he would have an alternate account to aviod other users from checking on his contribs. The user IP198 reverted one of my edits to Fowler's version, shows unusual sophestication for a newcomer, has been known to "communicate" with fowler and has edits overlaping with Fowler. I will produce the overlaps on a future probable ocassion and will vigilantly watch for the activities of the editors involved. The response and allegations of the "user" of a "possible grudge" against fowler are also things I find extraordinary. Consider this section, here and here for details.

I, unlike, fowler and others am not keen on violation of WP ethics. All I ask is that Fowler discusses his edits and answers legitimate concerns before he reverts someone else's hard work.

Best Regards,

Freedom skies| talk  07:27, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

I have additional concerns regarding Fowler. He has initiated a revert war by maliciously stating that "reverting freedom skies' bogus reverts; have you added anything to this article yet, or do you only know how to revert.?"[5] His new confidence may stem from his sucsess in involving a completely unrelated editor to help him out on Indian mathematics. [6] The new editor has stated things like "oh dear, why cannot they just leave good enough alone." and "I suggest you sit back and watch F&f's work on the article, and maybe learn something."

Fowler's conduct on Indian mathematics has been extraordinary. [7] I find this continuation of mailicious agenda surprising. Recruiting muscle to back him up up in revert warring and using semi-abusive online bullying does not amount to fair decent behaviour.

Kindly take appropriate action. There is bound to be trouble due to revert warring and semi-abusive bullying by the parties involved.

I am quite concerned. I am unaware of having edited that page at all since my 04:20 UTC edit. Need help with uploading images

Hi Aksi,

I want to upload some of my own photography on wikmedia commons and eventually some of them into wikipedia. I want to release all rights to anyone who wants to use those images, provided they dont change it in any way and use it 'as is'. Also if possible, I want them to give me credit wherever it is used. What gfdl or any other tag do i use? And is it possible that I can lay down these(above) conditions even on Wikipedia? I mean, some time ago, I uploaded a pic where I had got perm from the author to use it for 'wikipedia purposes'. But it got speedily deleted. I find these wiki-laws about pics slightly confusing. Please help. Thanks. Sarvagnya 03:46, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Also check this. I just uploaded it on wiki commons. But I dont know if the GFDL and CC tags used there mean what I wrote above. Are they different? What tags should I use and is there any way I can change the tags once I have uploaded a pic? Sarvagnya 03:49, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Aksi, give me a few topics that could be added to tata steel to get me started. i am really interested in the topic and will do justice to it. i can also shoot or scrounge for free-use photographs for downloading. i'm at a loss as to what info. i could add to the article without flirting with stuff that is irrelevant or overly excessive for a 'pedia. regards, -- mowglee 06:09, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

The above entitled arbitration case has closed, and the final decision has been published at the link shown. The Arbitration Committee has found that Philwelch misused his administrative tools. Because he gave up his status as an administrator in the face of controversy concerning his administrator actions and after an arbitration case was filed against him, he may not be automatically re-granted adminship. However, he is free to seek readminship, should he choose to do so, at any time by a request for adminship at WP:RfA. For the Arbitration Committee, Thatcher131 12:35, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Indian Caste System

Hi Aksi,

I was trying to improve the article on Indian caste system and I didn't make any changes without providing an explanation. I have started many discussions on the article discussion page. But the user Bakasuprman has twice reverted my change of just one line twice without providing any explanation. I have even messaged his user talk page but he has not responded me. The sentence in question is "The Indian Constitution has formally outlawed the caste system.". I have repeatedly said that caste based discrimination and untouchability is outlawed and not the caste system itself and have given the article from the constitution of India, but he and one more user (70.113.122.230) have never provided the source where it says so and reverted my changes. Please help or redirect me to a proper place where I can discuss this.John.Knott 14:59, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Hkelkar

Just another note: Hkelkar has also been running a spambot from the University of Texas IP addresses, it's been used to spam multiple forums and wikis with links to his case on here, and it's been done so often, that we've been IP-banned and IP-blocked from forums and wikis, with the IT department having to resolve it frequently.

If you see anon IPs editing like Hkelkar, be aware that they will usually have a spambot running, so be careful.... --Trudiruddsen 13:41, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Concern

Hi Aksi, Since you are the ace sock-buster, I thought I'd bring something to your notice. Ragib had earlier brought up the issue of potential socks on the India page (see here). I too am getting concerned about a number of new users who are all making very similar edits and using their numbers to influence decision-making on the India page. Something doesn't seem to add up, and I thought you (as an admin) might be able to pursue it further. (I want to state at the outset that I am not accusing anyone of anything.) The users in question, of course, are Nikkul (talk · contribs), Coollemonade (talk · contribs), huniebunie (talk · contribs), XavierIcI (talk · contribs), and (now) Indianhilbilly (talk · contribs). They all appeared on WP in mid-February, they all make edits involving pictures on India-related pages. For example, note that the contributions of Nikkul and Indianhilbilly seem strikingly similar. The first four claim they are college students—all good friends—who are planning to use their WP editing experience to land "computer internships" this summer; however, the nature of their edits (IMO) are hardly the kind that would land any internship, let alone a computer one. Users Coolemonade and hunniebunnie are supposedly college women in the US (according to their user pages), however, when I showed their writing to some college women in the US, their verdict was that the writing, was not the work of women, at least not ones that had grown up in the US. Of course, there's alway the primary possibility that these users are all making good faith edits and just happened to appear on WP at the same time. However, for me, enough red flags have been raised that I feel someone like you, with more WP experience, should look into it. Thanks. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 15:55, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Tamil Cfd

There are a large amount of socks voting Dravidian Warrior (talk · contribs), Tamilguy07 (talk · contribs), Jhynnyrj (talk · contribs), 129.219.218.3 (talk · contribs) etc. look like blatant socks and/or SPA accounts. PErhaps that area needs a block. If they are Wiki raja then it will be even funnier. These new Tamil SPA trolls are quirky, one accused me of being a "hater of Hindus" another a "hater of tamils" and another a "Racist" (when it is because of racism my family left that state). Bakaman 19:26, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Personal attacks by User:Wiki Raja

Hi Aksi, I just happened to see your comments on talk page of User:Wiki Raja about attacks on other users and just thought I would let you know something. This user was pushing for a template called "Dravidian Topics" in each and very page related to South India and the template got deleted by arbitration by admins. Then he started pushing for another template in all pages no matter the article is related to template or not. When I opposed that, he resorted to vandalism in Yakshagana and that's a different story. What I want to bring to your notice is that, he is constantly making personal attackes on me by calling me sockpuppet without any reason or proof. He deliberately calls me User:Sarvagnya here. More insane being, he mentions my name here and here when I have NEVER even touched those articles! Latest being edit he made on CFD page here. Going through his contributions, I found out that I'm not the only one being attacked by him. There are several other users here being attacked by Wikiraka in the same way. This user in my opinion is extremely incivil and insane. Thanks. Gnanapiti 23:45, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Wiki raja is turning out to be a problem user.Bakaman 00:33, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Both user accounts of Sarvagnya and Gnanapiti have been confirmed as the same person here. So, what do you expect me to believe? Wiki Raja 06:22, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
You really expect any of us to believe that you havent read the latest updates. Not just on that page but also recently on Blng's page? Acting 'oh-so-innocent' is not going to cut it with anybody here. Sarvagnya 06:26, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but Blng is deliberately overlooking this situation. I guess it is one of the privilages of being an administrator. Wiki Raja 06:30, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
No, they have not been confirmed. Wiki Raja, you have been repeating the same story again and again. Please note, you were involved in this discussion, and you are expected to know what was the outcome of the discussion. User:Sarvagnya and User:Gnanapiti were cleared off the allegations long back. By the way, Aksi_great was involved in that discussion too and has seconded User:Blnguyen's word on this issue.
Please stop using the same old diff for making the same allegation again and again. Unless you have a recent proof, any further allegations or usage of old diffs might be considered as personal attack on those users. - KNM Talk 06:35, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Well, since you've asked, here is a previous report on Sarvagnya here. Both accounts by the same user were pardoned under one condition that both user accounts are not used to edit the same pages. But, that did not happen. These two user accounts were used on these pages. Wiki Raja

Hi Aksi, may I request you to please remove this nonsense. He's trying to mislead people. Thanks. Sarvagnya 08:17, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Thank you very much. Though I am sure, he'll still continue to act blisfully ignorant whenever he gets the chance. Blnguyen had already clarified this more than once and yet that hadnt stopped him. Lets hope things change now. Sarvagnya 08:26, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

RE:Gnanapiti and Sarvagnya

As User:KNM says here, any further allegations by you without any new evidence will be considered as personal attack on those users and you may be blocked. - Aksi_great (talk) 08:15, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Without getting blocked, may I please ask you a sincere question? Wiki Raja 08:31, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Yes. And next time, do ask the question without asking. If the question is relevant, I will answer it. - Aksi_great (talk) 08:35, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
But you will have to promise me not abuse your power by blocking me if I ask. Wiki Raja 08:37, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
I do not promise anything. The blocking policy clearly defines where I should block and where I should not. Now if you have a question to ask, do ask it without wasting any more time. - Aksi_great (talk) 08:40, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
What are you in a hurry for? Wiki Raja 08:43, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Because I have work to do. I do not have time for idle chit-chat. We are here to build an encylopedia. Wikipedia talk pages are not chat rooms. - Aksi_great (talk) 08:49, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I thought that you guys had removed the block on Sarvagnya and Gnanapiti under the conditions that they both do not use both user names to vote, or at least edit the same articles. However, they have continued to edit the same articles here after your guys warning. Can you please explain this to me? Thank you. Wiki Raja 08:56, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
(reset indent) Ok, I'll explain it. A restriction was put by Dmcdevit on them not to edit the same articles. I think Dmcdevit meant that they should not use their accounts to make the same type of edits in the same articles with a view to evade 3RR. Looking at your diffs, I cannot find any instance where they have tried to evade 3RR, or vote the same way in such a way that it affects the outcome of the vote. As Sarvagnya has explained, it is quite impossible for both of them to totally not edit the same articles, as both of them come from the same geographical background. Taking that and the fact that they have not been causing any harm to wikipedia, the restriction on them has been lifted. - Aksi_great (talk) 09:12, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Can you please take off this bogus warning from Sarvagnya from my page?Wiki Raja 09:14, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
The warning is not bogus, but one could question the usefulness of the warning as such warnings never seem to work when given by users who are in dispute with the other users. The warning is quite similar to the warning that I have given at the beginning of this section. If you have understood the point of the warning, you may archive the warnings. - Aksi_great (talk) 09:18, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
So, would I be able to post these types of warnings on other abusive users? Wiki Raja 09:24, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Errr...

Hi there, I noticed you had reverted a couple of recent edits by Wiki Raja on my talk page. I can see that quite a bit of discussion is going on in your talk page with him - none of which is my concern... but what concerns me is why you have chosen to revert changes by someone else on my talk page? Is there any specific reason.. maybe like the user was banned or smth?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nmadhubala (talkcontribs).

Thanks!

Thanks, Aksi, for pursuing the sockpuppeteering and bringing it to a conclusion! Wikipedia is not only creating an encylopedia, but also generating a lot of socio-psychological data! I'm sure some experts are already looking into it. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 15:46, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Aksi great, I am just notifying you that I have posted a report on you here for your unfair accusation without a usercheck or valid proof on me whether or not I have sockpuppets. Wiki Raja 05:01, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
