Ashika

I'm afraid I'm not going to restore the article. It might interest you to know that Led Zeppelin mixed heavy rock with Eastern instruments in the 1970's. If Ashika have generated press coverage, please point me to it and I will review my decision. At the moment, however, having a myspace page is not enough. • I'm familiar with contemporary music, yes. I remember Killing Joke, although I'd hardly call them contemporary, they're older than me. Still, I appreciate you feel strongly about the article, however Wikipedia can't just add articles on the basis that you and your friends feel there should be an article. I hope you can appreciate that. We need to be able to substantiate the information added, to make sure that Wikipedia is not being abused in a bid to achieve recognition. We do have appropriate policies and guidelines on issues such as these. Since your article concerns a band, you may like to read Wikipedia:Notability (music). Other relevant pages include Wikipedia:Notability, Wikipedia:Ownership of articles, Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and, if you feel my decision was incorrect, Wikipedia:Deletion review. You may list the article there, and if a consensus develops amongst editors such that I made the wrong decision, the article will be restored. All that said, however, I fail to get any hits on a search of either the NME for Ashika, [1], or Kerrang, [2]. I also have access to a database of newspaper and magazine articles going back to the earky to mid nineties, and can find no reference to Ashika or Ro Prasad. Hope all that helps explain. These are all criterion for inclusion. It appears you have no real understanding of contemporary rock/metal and cannot realize the notability of ASHIKA. There is an article reviewing BLACK CELEBRATION festival, 7th nov 2005@ astoria theatre in London uk. where Ro Prasad represented KILLING JOKE,as a DJ. type BLACK CELEBRATON in google search.Aleishap 19:44, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
