August 2021[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Robert Bostock (slave trader, born 1743), it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Zudo (talkcontribs) 13:10, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi its not original research its on the reference page Bostock.net it is just an addition. Thank you for your comment.. Alex Alexander Bostock (talk) 17:36, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi if you look at Roberts family tree (Bostocks of Chester on www.bostock.net it clearly states this on the first page.. I'm sorry I don't know how to link a reference yet.. Its all new but very interesting.. Alexander Bostock (talk) 17:46, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry that was meant to read Bostocks of Chester and Australia.. Alexander Bostock (talk) 17:48, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have also corrected his place of birth so as not to be confused him with members of my family tree which were from Toxteth, Liverpool, and had nothing to do with the Slave trade industry during this time.. Alexander Bostock (talk) 23:47, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

He was born in Tarvin, Cheshire and not Liverpool, Lancashire?? Alexander Bostock (talk) 23:48, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
