"Vandalism"[edit]

Please stop your persistent vandalism on the List of snooker players by number of ranking titles page. Ronnie O'Sullivan, currently, is NOT ahead of John Higgins. Woodlandscaley (talk) 23:07, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Alexgriffin81 response:

Kindly stop perpetuating an erroneous order. Ronnie O'Sullivan and John Higgins are tied on 28 ranking titles and 3 minor. I can think of two metrics to determine how one should be positioned above the other, and I'd welcome you to offer an alternative.

1= by order of non-ranking titles (which O'Sullivan has more of)

2= by order of Most number of highest ranking tournament titles (i.e The World Championship - which again, Ronnie has more of)

Granted, Ronnir O'Sullivan has won more World Championships than John Higgins - which is why he's ahead in the relevant page List of world snooker champions.

But, this list is for the total of snooker ranking event wins. Higgins and O'Sullivan are tied - and have also won the same number of 'minor' ranking events. Therefore, they are listed in alphabetical order of surname - consistent with the rest of the list. Woodlandscaley (talk) 00:46, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
