Was it you who reverted the "reborn/ribbon" edit in that article??? You know the correct translation, too? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yume no Kishi (talkcontribs)

Re. Hi

Hello there. You're welcome, I revert/block vandals all the time. Internet Explorer really sucks and trust me you would do yourself a favor by switching to Firefox. In fact, if you open my user page with IE you'll see something completely different than you would see were you using Firefox. I have the newest version of IE installed and although they fixed some bugs, I can still say that Firefox is waaaaay better. Try it and you'll know what I mean after a while. ;-) Regards, Húsönd 02:10, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Thank you!

Thank you for saying that "reborn" is correct! Me and Yume were so close to being hopeless...thank you!!! But, just to be correct, it is not our translation, it is the correct translation. I asked my Japanese teacher (shes a native speaker) and she said it is "reborn"

once again thank you!!

Newington College

Thank you for your interest in this article. Could you please explain why you believe my edit was unhelpful or unconstructive? This article was in my opinion overly long and less than neutral and I see that a number of people have tried to correct this and or bring its lack of neutrality to others attention for some time. I'm not altogether sure that it should even continue to be covered at all. I would appreciate it if you would revert it to my edited version or write your own. Anything would be preferable to what was there. I'm sorry for some reason my signature doesn't seem to work. Sbrandons

Can you tell me why you reverted your own revert and can you suggest how I might support this when someone else (most likely DXRAW) reverts it again. Sbrandons —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sbrandons (talkcontribs)

Hey

Really, I was hoping to delete the page as it has been changed to simply Governance of Higher Education.

Thank you very much for your help and understanding.
I believe deleting it would be best and most sensible (no need for two titles to one page). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kenneth M Burke (talkcontribs)
Yes, thank you. --Kenneth M Burke 00:41, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

numbers

Hey, I have a random question concerning the numbers that appear on my watchlist. i.e. (+54), (-250), etc. do you have any idea what they mean? just curious. thanks. Saritamackita 15:42, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

mistaken edit to "American Empire"

I mistakenly broke it and you reverted it - but it wasn't vandalism. I was trying to redirect American_empire to American_Empire because those two pages are different and I didn't understand why. But I think my redirect simply looped back on itself. It was unintentional. 80.229.242.179 19:03, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Webbing

I did NOT create that page. I posted a notability tag on it hoping that someone else would delete it. I don't want anyone to think I was the one who wrote that obscene nonsense. --Bookworm857158367 19:42, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Excuse me, but that article is not nonsense. Such a thing does exist. It may be obscene but it is something that does happen and just because some people do not like it doesn't mean that it should be taken out of this encyclopedia. There are things on this encyclopedia such as the rusty trombone which are also obscene but they aren't taken off the site. --- walterraleigh 20:18, 18 Feb 2007

Then by all means, please add a prod2 noting that. i kan reed 20:16, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

I think that the article makes hazy assertions of notability that wouldn't pass AfD and if the prod isn't contested, then it probably ought to be deleted. If the article creator(or anyone else) contests the proposed deletion, I'll find out what objections there are to it and try and work towards making those objections fit with the article(and find sources and other such things). Failing that I'll send it to afd and let the community decide. i kan reed 20:31, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

I prodded it. I'm not using the template because it wouldn't be courteous. Feel free to contest, of course.--N Shar 01:04, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

I deleted the stuff, thanks. Axiomm 21:25, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Adoption

Hi; several editors have requested adoption, so I'm waiting for their replies. If I don't have two people within the next week or two, I'd be happy to. If I'm full, then I can point to other users. — Deckiller 01:24, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

RE: Hello fellow Persian!

How lovely to meet a fellow Persian :)! Those tidbits come as extras of a rollback script I use. If you are into editing your monobook.js then copy the script from my monobook to give you anti-vandal rollback (do not copy anything labeled with User:Topaz or User:Persian Poet Gal). It allows you to rollback edits of vandals with ease, opens their talk page automatically for you, and gives you extra tabs to issue them warnings with a touch of a button. The only drawback however is that it requires Mozilla Firefox to use the script (so you need to download the browser if you want to use it). The version I use is a bit dated so you need to replace the "test1" text with the newer warnings (the newer version with all the new warnings can be found here but seems a tad buggy at the moment, maybe its just for me). Hope you find some of this technical jargon useful :P.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 18:19, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Vandals

Great job with dealing with vandals. You even gave warnings to users before I could after reverting them. Just so you know, your userpage was vandalized several times and I reverted them for you. Averross (utc)

Hmm, how do you use it? Averross (utc)

Hello

Don't worry about that. 190.10.0.111 18:11, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

No, I haven't. I didn't really understand it. It seemed to make more sense to just click on dif and then undo. Plus, I was out for most of the rest of the day. Averross (utc)

Thank you for the welcome mat, anyway. Maybe I was just feeling uptight. Please excuse my, ummm... "rudeness". Maybe your little greeting might really provide me useful help to me after all. Ashington vandalism

Hello, please do not revert my edit to Ashington - you have incorrectly identified vandalism of this article due to a large removal of material. The material in question is completely uncited, non-encyclopedic and in places possibly libellous and should therefore be removed. If you are using a script ("TWINKLE"?), I suggest you proceed with caution, and only on articles that you are involved in the editing of. Thank you. Halsteadk 22:04, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Re your response, I wasn't the anon user you reverted but I was a bit worried you'd revert me too! Halsteadk 22:33, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Autobio pages

I saw you asked a question on the help desk a few days ago regarding pages created about the authors. While autobiography is not by itself criteria, usually the subject is not notable. Now to the point. When you do come across these articles, I have created a user warning template for situations like this. It is Template:autobio-warn. It is similar to nn-warn, but it includes:

Please do not place personal content in the article namespace. Unless it is notable, it will be speedily deleted. Personal information should only be put on your userpage. For more details on Wikipedia autobiography policy, see here.

I hope you find this useful. Mr.Z-mantalk¢ 00:50, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

S'alright.

Seems to be half of what I do here. Damn kids... HalfShadow 02:24, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Ah, I see you're fairly new here. Vandalism is a pretty constant problem here. For every dullwit we take care of, 15 more think 'Hey, adding some stupid stuff to a wiki article would just be a scream'. Eventually, reverting becomes habitual. Fortunately reverting is not only a half-seconds work, but for anything you miss, 50 other people have caught it. HalfShadow 02:29, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Re: Crystallization

I see he put his email on the page, are you trying to get the reversion deleted? BuickCenturyDriver (Honk, odometer) 03:53, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

I don't think it's a big deal. Posting an email address isn't unheard of. BuickCenturyDriver (Honk, odometer) 03:57, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Re: Question

It's kinda borderline. Not as sensitive as a phone number, but it can't hurt to ask the oversight list and see what they think about it (they're answer's probably better than mine, anyway). :p – Luna Santin (talk) 04:01, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Huh. Usually they send me a quick "done" email inside an hour or two. Mebbe they're in a rush, tonight. :) Either way, thanks. – Luna Santin (talk) 04:34, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick revert on my talk page. I'm afraid I was kinda slower than the vandal at reverting pages. Nol888(Talk) 22:58, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Dont revert when you dont read.

Nevhood, you recently commented on a edit to the Gerritsen Beach, Brooklyn article. Maybe it was becuase I made the edit from an IP but if you would have read the edit. Someone has doubled the same copy to the article.

Next time read before revert. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 207.237.39.72 (talk) 23:28, 23 February 2007 (UTC).

(Answered on IP's talk page) It would help if you left an edit summary when you delete a large portion of text from an article, therefore recent changes patrollers are aware that the edit was legitimate and not vandalism. I am sorry about the revert, and I removed the warning off your page, but remember, I was not the one who reverted your changes, I merely placed a warning after Bobo192 reverted your changes. --Nevhood 00:11, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Next time :) --207.237.39.72 03:34, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Re: Vandalism Warning

ACtually, I was just removing images from american idol season 5 because of copyright... They did that for the american idol 6 page, so the same rules should apply —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.91.198.120 (talkcontribs)

Then why don't you restore the edits that removed the pictures in american idol 6 page? Any reason to keep one set of images but to erase another? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.91.198.120 (talkcontribs)

Vandalism Warning

Why, pray tell, are you identifying my removing an obsolete item from my own talk page as vandalism? This is not an encyclopedia article, it is the talk page on my own profile and what was deleted was a piece of information someone had given me which is no longer relevant. I personally don't care one way or the other about the information being there, I was simply tidying it up and removing a piece of information that was of no use, but I'm curious as to why you've identified it as vandalism. Any help on this would be appreciated for future reference... blankfrackis 16:10 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Sorry about that, the reason I reverted the changes you made to your page was because you were not logged on to your own account when you (identified only by your IP) removed content from your talk page. It helps if you sign on first before making changes to your account! --Nevhood 01:11, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
