Speedy deletion nomination of Jacques-Edouard Berger Foundation[edit]

A tag has been placed on Jacques-Edouard Berger Foundation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Guidance on notability[edit]

Hi Aline Debusigne,

Wikipedia has its own guidance for notability that may not be the same as your intuitive sense of what is notable. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia of general knowledge rather than an index of profiles of companies and people. Each article needs several independent reliable sources to show significant impact on the historical record. The guidance for organizations is given at WP:ORG and for biographies WP:BIO applies.

For Jacques-Edouard Berger Foundation, the sources you have added may demonstrate notability for Jacques-Edouard Berger and for the artefacts some of the website carries images of, but this does not necessarily confer notability to the foundation. The sources must clearly demonstrate that the foundation itself is notable.

If you are associated with the organization, person or product the article is about then you must follow the conflict of interest guidelines and avoid editing the article yourself but you are free to suggest and discuss changes.

Proposed deletion of Jacques-Edouard Berger Foundation[edit]

The article Jacques-Edouard Berger Foundation has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Tagged for notability since October 2010, but there are still no independent sources to provide evidence of notability. One of the references is to the foundations own web site, another merely mentions that the foundation has deposited a collection in a museum, and the other is a book by Jacques-Edouard Berger.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
