March 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm ToBeFree. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Battle of Marathon seemed less than neutral and has been removed. Please discuss your proposed changes on the talk page of the article: Talk:Battle of Marathon ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:13, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Battle of Marathon shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to Battle of Marathon while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Dr. K. 23:16, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on others again, as you did at User talk:Dr.K., you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Dr. K. 03:44, 24 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Enough[edit]

Hi, when I invited you to start a discussion on the article's talk page, I didn't expect you to make the same edit again and to send a personal attack to one of the other disagreeing users. It may be a good idea to either discuss the changes properly, or to stop complaining if you are not interested in discussion. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:50, 24 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
