Raymond E. Feist articles[edit]

Hello,

While searching around the "What links here" list attached to the Raymond E. Feist article looking for other Wikipedias who may be fans, I found you. Currently I am working on expanding the related articles of the Riftwar books, but there is a lot of ground to cover with 20 books to look through. I am hoping to gather other editors who may be willing to spend a little time to help out. There are articles which need expanding and clean-up, and I don't think I can do it alone.

The current articles are (red links to be started): The series articles:

Other articles:

And there is probably more that I haven't even thought of yet, which I am hoping you might.

VxWorks Device Drivers[edit]

Hi--I saw your comments on the VxWorks page. I think what you need is the VxWorks Device Driver Developer's Guide, which is located at https://portal.windriver.com/windsurf/techpubs/os/vxworks/v6.4/vxworks_device_driver_developers_guide_6.4.pdf You'll need a Wind River UID and password to access that--your VxWorks license should include it. If you don't have one I can just email you the manual. Fumblebruschi 18:46, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your user page[edit]

As a native speaker of English, I can tell you that your (written) English is extremely good. A few small things, though: "I'm a civil engineer student" sounds a bit awkward to a native speaker (from the U.S., anyway); "I'm a civil engineering student" is better. (I don't know if this is a British vs. American English kind of thing, but since the rest of your page seems to be in American English....)

And unfortunately, the grammar gets a bit sloppy in the "Politics and philosophy" section [ :-) ], which is what brought me to your talk page to post this.

In particular:

  • "a live and let live-view on politics" should probably be "a live-and-let-live view on politics"
  • "and it's moral superiority" should be "and its moral superiority" (oops!)
  • "the concept that me and the people who share my beliefs don't want to" should be "the concept that I and the people who share my beliefs don't want to"
  • "To help compete the ubiquitous socialism" should probably be "To help compete with the ubiquitous socialism" or (better yet) "To help combat the ubiquitous socialism"
  • "me and a few others decided" should be "I and a few others decided"

Other than that, the English on the page is really top-notch. [time passes] Hmm. You know, the more I reread your page, the more errors I'm finding:

  • "embarrasing" → "embarrassing"
  • "proof reading" → "proofreading"
  • "alot" → "a lot"
  • "news papers" → "newspapers"
  • "advertisments" → "advertisements"
  • "word smith" → "wordsmith"
  • "aswell" → "as well"

I guess I should stop and post this comment before I find more mistakes! :-) (I wouldn't have bothered you at all, but given your selection of userboxes, I figured you were the type who would want his errors pointed out.) - dcljr (talk) 00:41, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
