Thank you for uploading File:350px-Shere_Ali_Khan_with_Cd_Charles_Chamberlain_and_Sir_Richard_F.Pollock_.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Chris 06:29, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hurt locker[edit]

Moving the plot section is not the way to handle blanking the material. That happens in every article. Film articles have a format they should follow - see WP:MOSFILM. My reversion of your move was to move the plot section back where it was, after you had moved it to the bottom.

Also, that's generally not considered a "minor" edit. Changing section headers, maybe adding a sub-section, but moving a major section of an acticle? Not really. Ravensfire (talk) 01:57, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oh - and the name? It's from a Native American myth, about the Raven, a trickster in their mythology, stealing fire from the gods and bringing it back to man. You'll find it in the myths of several tribes - that was just the first link I found. Ravensfire (talk) 02:02, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
And no, I did not remove the entire plot section. I reverted ONLY your change which moved the section. If you did any other changes as part of that diff, they also were reverted. See the history - [1]. Also, look at the file sizes after your revert of the delete, your move and my reversion. All the same. Ravensfire (talk) 02:04, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

New question[edit]

Allenwalla, good guess (although I still look around when people call me sir, wondering if my Dad's behind me)! The American-Indian mythology comes from a general enjoyment of mythology and having a good friend growing up who was a quarter Cherokee, and a quarter Scottish. Oh yeah - that was a temper he had! I actually started using the name Eclipse on-line, then found too many other people were using it. Shifted to Raven, and STILL found too many people using it. Did some digging, and found the story of Raven and fire, so came up with the name. I started using it while playing Delta Force 2, so it's been a while.

For page protection, you're looking for Request For Page Protection. There's two types - semi which prevents IP accounts from editing and full which prevent everyone except for admins from editing. I'm not sure it's needed for The Hurt Locker quite yet, but it has seen more vandalism than in the past. I suspect that's just from the DVD release and award shows. I won't object to semi-protection for a week or two. The RFPP folks tend to looks for good evidence of a pattern or significant vandalism before protecting, it's not something that's done lightly. Overall, I think the article has been fairly stable of late, which is good.

Keep up the good work! Ravensfire (talk) 17:07, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
