A tag has been placed on Ernest Proud requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of Youssouf Muhammad[edit]

Hello Almgerdeu,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Youssouf Muhammad for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Copyright[edit]

I can see that you are a new editor, but you need to know that Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. You must not copy and paste text from sources you find on the web into articles as you did in the article Youssouf Muhammad. Thank you for rewriting the infringing text. Almost everything on the web is subject to copyright, and when creating or expanding articles, you should completely rewrite the information from the source using your own words. I thought it was an interesting article. Good work! Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:06, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Learning[edit]

I see quite a few of your article creations while stub-sorting.

Please remember:

  1. If we know both birth and death dates we write "(1878-1914)" in the lead sentence, without "born" or "died"
  2. Section headings like "External links" use a capital letter at the start but not for other words (ie not "Links")

I've corrected both points in Hubert Istace. Please also remember to give details in all your references so we can see where you got the information without having to follow the link, and give "access date" for all online references. Thanks,  PamD 13:29, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ok thanks for comebacks PamD Almgerdeu (talk) 13:46, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

But if we only know the birth or the death date then we say "(born 1952)" or "(died 1952). I've corrected your newly-created Franz Mayer (referee). Now please go back to that article and improve the references: those you have added are not good enough because they do not show the sources you have consulted. Please stop creating new articles until you have improved this one. PamD 07:50, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

i understood born or died information and will use as you said. But i dont agree wit you about reference talking. why are they not good, i did not understood?? PamD Almgerdeu (talk) 08:10, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Have a look at WP:CITEWEB. The reader should be able to look at the reference listed under "References" and see just where you found the information, without having to click to follow any link, and also when you consulted it, if it was a website, because they often change over time. They can then assess whether the source looks reliable, whether it is something they want to follow up, etc. Your habit of just giving a simple title is not helpful. September 2020[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Hugh Phillips (referee), disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Please stop adding inadequate references. Read the advice you have been given and stop wasting other editors' time by leaving them to clean up after you. Thanks. PamD 16:24, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Navigation[edit]

When you create an article like Kjell Johansson (referee) with a "disambiguated" title, please make sure that the reader can find it from the basic name (ie Kjell Johansson), by adding or expanding a hatnote, or adding the article to a disambiguation page. This helps the reader to find your article, and also reduces the chance of a future careless editor creating a duplicate article with a slightly different disambiguator. I've fixed this one. Thanks, and Happy Editing. PamD 16:58, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ok, thanks more more more...PamD Almgerdeu (talk) 18:09, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

WP:BIO: there don't seem to be any good sources about him, only listings in databases, match reports, ... Being an international referee is in itself not sufficient: if these didn't receive significant attention, then they should't have articles. Fram (talk) 15:23, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Almgerdeu, I recently made copy edits to Gino Rigato by removing most of the inline references, because they linked to "Franz Mayer", not "Gino Rigato". Draft space[edit]

Hi there, I hope you are well. I've noticed you've created a few more BLP stubs which lack sources that demonstrate WP:GNG. Might I suggest that you create some of these articles as a WP:DRAFT first and then publish to the mainspace after gathering enough sources to pass GNG? Your recent edits[edit]

Please note that football referees are not inherently notable and therefore need to meet WP:GNG, which says that "if a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list". The topics you have been creating articles about do not appear to be notable as they do not appear to meet GNG, and will likely be deleted. As such, I ask that you please stop creating non-notable articles. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 13:49, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Questions[edit]

@Spiderone: - Hi, can you say, for example any referee was awarded referee of year in his country or another award and it was noted in any newspaper or other source (website, not database website), is this pass notability for him? thanskAlmgerdeu (talk) 14:44, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Almgerdeu: probably notable in most cases. I would be more interested in how in-depth the coverage in the newspaper or news website is. If it's just a brief mention over one or two sentences then I would say it's not enough. If it's a whole article and, ideally, more than just one news source covering it, then there's more of a positive argument for notability there. Spiderone 15:27, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

İ have a question Sir Sputnik, when my first account (Schami1989) blocked (reason was other than sockpuppet) and how many times have I written that I will not do the same mistakes ... but my account was not unblocked ... then I opened another account called Ekspertiza, but I did not know that there was a rule that the second account could not be opened .... than it was blocked also .... what should i have did ??? But i love to edit and creat pages about German football and winter sports...I am telling again ... I did not make the same mistake that caused the block of the Schami account again and when I opened the Ekspertiza account, I did not know that there was a rule because a second account could not be opened in wikipedia ....please please....I want you to answer as a human, not an administrator....

First and foremost, if you want to have a chance at being unblocked, you will need to be honest about your mistakes. Your explanation here does not line up with the timeline of events in 2019. Even if you didn't know the rules concerning use of multiple accounts then, you certainly knew them before registering this account, but did so anyway. The fact that you believe to have not repeated your mistakes is reason alone to not unblock you. Finally, please do not ask other editors to edit on you behalf while blocked. This is also block evasion, and will result in your access to this page being revoked if you do it again. Sir Sputnik (talk) 22:14, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok i understood Sir Sputnik...please say me what can I do or what should I do for unblocking? İ wrote that I already knew I should not open Almgerdeu, but Schami or Ekspertiza accounts did not unbloked, no matter how hard I tried, accounts didn't open....now, say me what should I do?Almgerdeu (talk) 07:40, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please[edit]

Helllo S.A. Julio...you have recreate some articles of User:Schami1989 that were blocked a few times ago ... thanks for these ... I am also a German football fan .... some of articles created by me have been deleted which have no problems (deletion reason is my account is sockpuppet) ... can you create some of them too? Finally, it's about German football and I know you are a fan of German football too... i can send you texts of articles which i desire?
