Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Doorhead requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. A tag has been placed on Category:Wikipedia meetups in Australia 2024 indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 02:27, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I think this can be safely deleted due to a recent reshuffle of content. AlphaLemur (talk) 06:27, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I will try with or without help to populate the category, despite the reshuffle - the reshuffle was to increase possible spread/coverage - deletion only reduces the possibility. JarrahTree 07:43, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@JarrahTree: I'm not sure I understand the reason for needing the year-based categories. I guess you're suggesting doing something similar to Category:Wikipedia meetups in Perth, but even there the year subcategories have less than a handful of pages in each. I'd suggest that there's no need for the same structure to be created for the Australia-wide meetings (especially now that they're to be managed at Meta and not on English Wikipedia). Sam Wilson 01:45, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough - but going straight to meta seemed a bit of a jump - I do think more than just a redirect would be of some use - I am not arguing for any extra structure work here - more an explanation somewhere - aka paper trail - as it stands there is nothing for the curious JarrahTree 01:48, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Women in Red[edit]

Hi there, AlphaLemur, and welcome to Women in Red, although I see you had included the WIR user tag on your user page soon after you started editing. And thanks for creating two interesting biographies of Australian women. I hope there will be many more. If you have not already done so, you might find it useful to look through some of our essays, perhaps starting with the Primer. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 12:48, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! I had a little nudge from Oronsay :) AlphaLemur (talk) 00:43, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
