re: Prince Albert II edit[edit]

it wasn't erroneous, in so far as i wasn't editing a typo, i thought i was editing attrocious grammar. If it was incorrect, so be it but i wasn't purposely attempting to change the facts. WookMuff 05:38, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It was unclear with the double nots. The test proved he wasn't the father. Your rewrite of "ambiguous" was faulty. But you didn't know the facts of the situation.

I wasn't trying to accuse you of anything and I didn't think you were doing anything deliberately. Glad we could clear this up. Alphabeter 19:44, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Prince Albert II of Monaco.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Prince Albert II of Monaco.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Oden 08:45, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Image also lacks a detailed fair use rationale and proper source attribution. Cheers! --Oden 08:45, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WP:CVU status[edit]

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! Image copyright problem with Image:Dougtexter.JPG[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Dougtexter.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sdrtirs (talk) 21:39, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Douglas texter, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Douglas W. Texter. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Move function[edit]

Pages are renamed by moving them to new target names. This procedure preserves the page's edit history. Please do not rename a page by copying/pasting its content to a new page name, it will cause copyright violation. If you wish to rename the page, please use move tab at the top (near the history and watch tabs). You can then specify a new name for the article. The old page name will automatically become a redirect to the new page. Best, --PeaceNT (talk) 11:29, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Alphabeter,

You've been identified either as a previous member of the project, an active editor on Apple related pages, a bearer of Apple related userboxes, or just a hoopy frood.

There's something for everyone to do, such as welcoming, sourcing, writing, copy editing, gnoming, proofreading, or feedback — but no pressure. Do what you do, but let's coordinate and stay in touch.

See the full welcome message on the talk page, or join the new IRC channel on irc.freenode.net named #wikipedia-en-appleinc connect. Please join, speak, and idle, and someone will read and reply.
