Your recent edits[edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Congratulations on navigating the bureaucracy of filing an AfD - that is not a small achievement for a fairly new editor! You did miss the last step, adding it to the daily log (Step III in WP:AFDHOW); but that was done for you by a helpful "bot" (automatic system).

In this case, there was an easier way to do what you want: you could simply have edited the existing redirect to make it into your new article (see Help:Redirect#Creating and editing redirects), or in order to move an existing article to a title where there is already something else, there is a speedy-deletion request {{db-move}} which goes on the target page in the form {{db-move|1=PAGE TO BE MOVED HERE|2=REASON FOR MOVE}}.

I have closed the AfD and done the move for you, leaving Largo Library as a possibly useful redirect. I have also put a "hatnote" at the head of the section Largo, Florida#Largo Public Library to point to the new article. That's done by adding {{main|Largo Public Library}}: there are other useful types of hatnote which you can read about at WP:HATNOTE. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 21:00, 28 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
