Dear Tacyang -- Thank you for all of this. Have the deletions to my changes already been made? Because this seems great, in a quick reread. In any case, it is my intention to perfectly comply with Wikipedia standards in the future, so I will read up now, and follow all suggestions going forward. -- Thank you so much! Hi, thanks for your response. I removed a couple of whole paragraphs which were unreferenced, and some phrases elsewhere, but not all your changes. I have since seen the comment you made on another editor's Talk page about being a colleague of the subject of the article, so will post the conflict of interest guidance below. Managing a conflict of interest

Dear Tacyang - Thank you for this. Let me respond by saying that I have never been a colleague of Mr. Dicterow in any real sense. I am not a musician, nor am I an academic. I am a freelance writer hired by a variety of organizations in the arts, and I came to be interested in Dicterow's story from having written, at different times in my life, for both the orchestra and the university who employed him, in highly prominent roles. So, over time, that tenuous connection spurred my reading up on his career. I hope that's not a "conflict" as defined by Wikipedia, so that's why I'm explaining the connection. In any case, I will now read up the Wikimedia materials you suggested I learn from, and I will carefully follow your standards if I contribute to any other Wikipedia articles in the future.
