You and User:Zroscope both created articles about the same wasp, it would appear. For the purpose of your class assignment, the history of both articles is preserved in the article history, but we can't have two separate articles about the same wasp, so I have created a redirect from Polistes japonicas to Polistes japonicus. Hey there, you recently edited the page for Brachygastra lecheguana (which is the wasp that I worked on) in the taxonomy section. Do you mind quickly letting me know on my talk page why you made the change, because I'm a little confused why you changed what you did. Thanks!
On 8 December 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Polistes japonicus, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that on Okinawa, the wasp Polistes japonicus found a new place to overwinter after the arrival on the island of a new banana plantation pest? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Polistes japonicus. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
