Orphaned non-free media (File:Murder 3 Movie Poster.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Murder 3 Movie Poster.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Replaceable fair use File:Kavita Barjatya in Rajshri Office.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kavita Barjatya in Rajshri Office.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 01:06, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Kavita K. Barjatya.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kavita K. Barjatya.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:13, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Jigariyaa, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.playindiafilms.com/revolver-rani-2014/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Proposed deletion of Days of Tafree[edit]

The article Days of Tafree has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Subject lacks coverage in reliable sources

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Shiv Darshan, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:33, 19 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Shiv Darshan[edit]

Hello, Amishah78. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Shiv Darshan".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 14:00, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Speedy deletion nomination of Upstox[edit]

Hello, Amishah78,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Hatchens and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Upstox, for deletion, because [[{{{2}}}|a consensus decision]] previously decided that it wasn't suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. If you wish to restore a page deleted via a deletion discussion, please use the deletion review process instead, rather than reposting the content of the page.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Hatchens}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

@Hatchens:

Hello Hatchens,

Thank you for your message. I have been using and editing Wikipedia for a while; and this time, I was comparing two discount brokers in India, Zerodha and Upstox. Most of my research starts with Wikipedia, as the encyclopedia stands for rigorous standards. I did find information on Zerodha; however, Wikipedia offered no content on Upstox. Given the increasing awareness on financial investments, but limited knowledge one has, several users like me can benefit from such information. I wish to mention upfront that the content isn't promotional in nature, nor am I associated with Upstox. I noticed that Timtrent has provided references of a company page, RKSV, which in the course of my research, I realized is the registered name of Upstox. Since I haven't seen RKSV page that was deleted in 2020, I have no comments to be made on the nature of the content. I do not wish to create RKSV page as I believe that the company isn't of interest to general publics; the electronic trading platform, Upstox, that is provided by RKSV is of interest and hence I started the said article.

Finally, I did spend a lot of time creating a quality article for Wikipedia that adheres to the guidelines and would appeal to you and Timtrent to retain the same. I looked up news articles for product offering, executive team, history, controversies (I didn't find any) to get started. As an user from India, I can say that the subject is notable and retail account holders will benefit from the information. I rest my case here and will allow my fellow community members to make a final decision. Thank you and best!

Amishah78 (talk) 12:34, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Amishah78, You have to show that the article you have created is substantially different from the prior article that was deleted. The decision is up to the community, not to me, nor Hatchens Fiddle Faddle 12:57, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Timtrent: - Given that the subject of the article is an electronic trading platform and not a company, this article is substantially different from the prior article. Once again, I don't see any interest of general publics in the earlier article titled RKSV; however, their electronic trading platform, Upstox, is notable. Are there any specific questions that you wish I address? Amishah78 (talk) 13:11, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Amishah78, I have no wishes. The Upstox article has been identified by Hatchens as the same, broadly construed, as the article that was deleted. If they are correct then it needs to be substantially different from that in order to be preserved.
I cannot see, nor can I recall, that article Fiddle Faddle 13:41, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You should note Broking firm RKSV renamed as Upstox, taken from your own references.
My input is purely technical. I have no interest in the article's survival nor deletion Fiddle Faddle 13:53, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Timtrent, I am also unable to recall RKSV article. I will allow Hatchens to make suggestions out here. Amishah78 (talk) 13:58, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hatchens (talk) 08:18, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Hatchens:

Hey Hatchens - I agree with your recommendation to delete the said article. When this article was started by me back in 2012, ASA Productions and Enterprises was fast growing with multiple project line-ups, strategic partnerships and funding. However, the company now seems to be inactive. Since this company is a production house that released notable feature films, am not sure if the subject still remains of any interest from an archival perspective. Open to discussion/ suggestions. Hello once again! This article was started by me is 2016. Sunshine Music Tours and Travels is a feature film that was screened at several film festivals and released in theaters. I wish to appeal to retain the same. Contributing content to Wikipedia takes a lot of research and the information that I have collated is valuable to users of the encyclopedia. Thank you and best!

Upstox moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Upstox, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Indigo Paints[edit]

Hi, thanks for message. The company is clearly notable, but the previous attempt was blatant spam, even though it included relevant facts like number of stores, number of employees and financials. Forgive me if I'm telling you something you already know, but you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the organisation or company, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, logs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the company or organisation claims or interviewing its management. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls.

The notability guidelines for organisations and companies have been updated. The primary criteria has five components that must be evaluated separately and independently to determine if it is met:

  1. significant coverage in
  2. independent,
  3. multiple,
  4. reliable,
  5. secondary sources.

Note that an individual source must meet all four criteria to be counted towards notability.

Hey Jimfbleak, Thanks for your speedy reply, and it is always good to receive reinforcement messages from fellow Wikipedians. I will keep your recommendations in mind; as a matter of fact, one of my articles has been recently moved to the draftspace as I wasn't updated on the revised notability guidelines for organisations and companies. So once again, thanks for sharing and also extending your support in reviewing the article. Cheers! Amishah78 (talk) 07:35, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Jimfbleak - trust all is well and you are safe amidst the pandemic. I have finally been able to create a draft article for Indigo Paints and would appreciate it if you could take a look. On another note, are there any other Indian company pages that you believe need some bit of cleaning? Will be happy to contribute. Cheers! Amishah78 (talk) 07:02, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Indigo Paints[edit]

Hello Amishah78,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Indigo Paints for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Hatchens (talk) 03:37, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hatchens - it's sad to see your reaction on this one. Why would I remove the speedy deletion tag from the top? But most importantly, why have you nominated this one for speedy deletion? You have cited three reasons and here are my views on the same.
first (reason), Possible WP:COI - ″Because, the creator of this article has been earlier involved in pushing a deleted company page into main article namespace".
Sorry to say this, but I have this feeling of being targeted; I may not be as skilled as you are; however, in my own ways I am contributing and am learning all along. Did I attempt reinstating the Upstox article without your review? Where is the conflict of interest? In case of Upstox, the article that was deleted had a different name (i.e. RKSV Securities); hence, when I created a new page for Upstox, I did not see any deletion log. In the case of Indigo Paints, I noticed that the page was earlier deleted by Jimfbleak; I reached out to him and enquired on what made him do so. He said:
"The company is clearly notable, but the previous attempt was blatant spam, even though it included relevant facts like number of stores, number of employees and financials."
Jimfbleak was extremely kind to reitrate what HighKing had just explained to me then. Further, he (Jimfbleak) suggested that I rewrite the content in the draftspace and get his inputs before submitting for review. It took me a couple of days to get the article right with relevant reference links and Jimfbleak found it a decent attempt. I finally submitted it for a review.
second (reason), Lacks WP:SIGCOV/WP:SIRS
In our earlier conversation on Upstox, HighKing had suggested "atleast two" significant links and Indigo Paints meets the criteria.
third (reason), Classic case of WP:ADMASQ - The page mostly contains news of company's latest IPO, fund raising activities and investors.
Sorry once again, but if I had created this page pre-IPO, one could call it an advert. Moreover, Devonian Wombat is an experienced editor and this article has been reviewed and approved by him. I am really sorry for this longish note, but I am extremely hurt and disappointed. To sign off, I just want to say that I will work on Upstox and get back to you for your consideration (if I find significant coverage on the electronic trading platform).
