Thank you very much for your suggestions, I'll be more careful in editing and adding information, in accordance with existing policies. Oh yes, I also have concerns about adding information, regarding the article Indonesia at the 2024 Summer Olympics, there are always editors who try to edit and include the Badminton section, even though through research, the badminton qualifications are not over yet. Is there any sollutions to overcome those problem? Indo Sports Fans (talk) 03:57, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Removal is the only option if there is no official source to say Indonesia has earned those quotas. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 04:00, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

To be honest, I'm still new, and actually don't know the reasons why my user account names violate this policy. But thanks for the warning, at least I can apply to change the user name so that there is no policy violation or offending some groups or communities. Indo Sports Fans (talk) 08:39, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your username says "Fans", indicating a group. If you just changed your name to remove the "s", it would be fine. 331dot (talk) 08:44, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that, it was my negligence, but I have submitted a request for a new username Indo Sports Fans (talk) 08:46, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Badminton clarification[edit]

Hello! I see that you have added numerous badminton entries in mens singles due to redistribution of unused quota places. For example athletes from England and United Arab Emirates. I am curious to know from where you have this information as it does not seem to be in any official records? Could you provide your source of information for how these athletes have recieved a quota place and which countries have decided not to use thier quota place? Olympicfan123 (talk) 10:07, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, that was my mistaken when calculating the quotas, just realized that. If you want to edit it to delete it, it's okay. This is my mistake Amnom Darius (talk) 10:11, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Tables[edit]

When there is six or less athletes per sport, one table should be used as per WP:OLYMPICS MOS. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 19:06, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

When writing prose for each sport section of a nation's Olympic page, please do not write "qualified for the Olympic tournament". It is redundant. You can use examples from Canada at the 2024 Summer Olympics and use that in other articles. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 23:33, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Officially selected athletes 18 May 2024[edit]

Australia at the 2024 Summer Paralympics should only list the names of official athlete selections by Paralympics Australia. Adding athletes not officially selected could raise many issues particularly for athletes. This has been the rule since 2012. I have been intensively updating these pages since 2012. Aussiesportlibrarian| (talk) 11:37, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, actually I'm also concerned about that, but the reason I edited that is:
1. There are several Australian athletes who were announced on the list, but did not qualify for that event at all or in the provisional qualifying route, there are no Australian athletes who qualified for that specific event in athletics, so it is not appropriate to be added. It is true that these athletes were appointed directly by the Australian NPC, but they have not yet fully passed the qualifications which are important qualifications that really ensure they will appear at the Paralympics this time, through the minimum standard of World Para Athletics.
2. There are several sports that 100% confirmed will not send athletes to represent Australia, such as Para-Badminton, but I see these sports have been added to the list. This can also be described, even though in the case of Australia appointing athlete A for example to go to the Paralympics, but on the qualification list he does not meet the eligibility set by the Para-BWF, meaning those athletes cannot qualify, so it could be illegal
3. I believe that a page like this should also show a list of events that Australia has qualified for, in my opinion, it would be better to let these events not be hastily deleted, unless it is in the case of events or athletes who competed in this events being declined or refused to appear at the Paralympics.
From all my explanations, it actually requires synchronous coordination between athletes or events that Australia has qualified for according to certain eligibilites of the sports qualification, and also Australian athletes who are selected directly by the NPC, considering several cases, which often occur, for example squad announcements, but for the time being, they cannot be considered to be able to represent a particular NPC, because it has not met the main eligibility requirements of the governing body of that sport Amnom Darius (talk) 03:33, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
